How many CDs did you need to buy and change ???!!. I am sure your initial CD
would have worn out long back., due to these many repeated hearings

Here it is, almost 8 months after the release of JA audio, and I still
play it almost as frequently as when it first came out! It's been a
very, very long time, possibly since Taal, has a Rahman album had such
a long lasting, dominating grip on my CD rotations. Even after
repeated listenings close to or surpassing 1000 times, I never find
myself being bored of the music, despite knowing each and every note
and sound to come in the next second.

There is a certain majestic spiritual evergreen to this music which
seems to refresh me with each listen. Each song carries so much
weight, like a crown full of different colored jewels. It just sounds
so fresh each time! Khwaja is the most played song on it for me and
not a day has gone by since the release of JA have I not listened to
Khwaja Mere Khwaja. I have never done this with a Rahman song or any
other song for that matter...listening to it at least once every
day now for 230 days now and counting.

CDs don't wear out like tapes if you keep them clean and take good
care of them (avoiding scratches, etc.). I also used my ipod to
 listen.
