Couldn't agree with you more on this, I guess with Delhi 6 audio CD just out
it has got the maximum to gain of this.

There are lot of chances, but how would they be able to track each and every
release of ARR 's Musical.

I would be happy, if they could become members here. Then, they would also
get Rahman fever.

Re: [arr] Will there be a "Slumdog Effect"?

2009-01-22 Thread just an another girl
I guess so ...

the airwaves in US ( let me not generalize .. atleast in the west coast ) -
almost all of the FM Channels have been talking and playing SDM songs

my whole class ( batch of 50 ) have bought the album in iTunes... quite a
few have started looking for more from ARR.

another pleasant thing about the radio attention for SDM is / was one of the
RJ today had a lovely comment which goes something like " when a composer
releases an album , based on the genre of the song , a particular channel
that specialises in it ( rock / slow rock , r&b , soul etc..) pick it up and
promote it and give it all the air time and love as per their liking .. with
AR Rahman , everybody wants a piece of the action because every one of these
songs are so different and so good that it is going to AR Rahman domination
till the oscar fever settles ... "

from the 6 -8 stations me and frds frequent ..."o Saya" , " Jai Ho " ( of
course) , "Mausam " and "Liquid dance" are getting their share of air time
... Jai ho tops the list ... followed by o saya .

of course my observation is not substantiated by any stats , but just a
passing note of a fan :)
