Re: CMDB 2.0
I am trying to bring data from a .csv file into my sandbox dataset. I know I can do this thru AIE - however it seemed complicated to set up and will take a while. Documentation mentioned a filehelper which is supposed to be under my CMDB/services folder - which I never found. Is there another way? The filehelper is used to import file definitions into AIE, in order to allow mapping of each column attribute. You could simply use the arimport utility to import records directly into the sandbox dataset, you will of course only be able to import into one form (class) at a time. I have records in BMC.Asset already - should I bring the .csv records into BMC.Asset and let the reconciliation engine resolve the differences? No that won't work, you'll need to create a Reconciliation job between your dataset and BMC.ASSET with the correct precedence set to update your existing records. Also where can I find my reconciliation log? From memory it's stored in the log directory which you should find in the CMDB install path. Login ID issues
Hello Listers, We've imported the people records from AD to People form and we are using Cross Reference Blank Password for external authentication. Now here we are facing a problem of case-sensitivity. CTM:People form stores login ids as e.g. Remedy. When we use the exact id to log in then it works fine. But when we use it as remedy then it denies the access. All the end users follow the same practice and they are unable to create request. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Re: Login ID issues
Although you are using AD for authenication Remedy still validates the user name and is case sensitive. Review the logins and determine why the first letter was capitalized on import. You may need to?create a filter to set all characters to lowercase on the User form. -Original Message- From: vinitPatil vpatil6...@gmail.com To: arslist@ARSLIST.ORG Sent: Sat, 7 Feb 2009 6:18 am Subject: Login ID issues Hello Listers, We've imported the people records from AD to People form and we are using Cross Reference Blank Password for external authentication. Louise, Check your server.xml file. That is where all the port definitions should be. Good luck, Matt R. Hi Roger, All the login Id's in AD are starting from an upper case letter. I just imported those records as it is. Now as per your comments I'll have to change the first character to lower case.
