Midtier 7.6 sp 4 on websphere 8 is not working, any suggestions?
Dee Mid Tier does not support clustering, where clustering is defined as replicate sessions. This is a real shame, as it means the load balancer has to apply a sticky setting and if a Mid Tier fails, a user's session ends. I've not got quite got to the bottom of the reasons behind the lack of clustering, because it's not difficult to do, but it may be related to enforcing licensing. Quite what Websphere Clustering does is a mystery to me. How to send message to parent that child window has finished loading in parent view field
I am displaying a child window in a parent form view field. I want to send a message to the parent window when the child window is loaded. so I created a run process active link on the child form with execution options: 'Window Loaded' The run process command was: PERFORM-ACTION-SEND-EVENT @ ChildFormReady On the parent form I created an active link with execution options: Event and Run if $EVENTTYPE$ = ChildFormReady and load a message to user (this is just testing feature) But the message never gets raised. If I right click on child window and refresh page, only then do I see message. What am I doing wrong? Hi, Use commit changes action in your active link on display only (child) form. Is it just me or is BMC Developer Studio full of bugs?
I am running Developer Studio v7.6.04 SP3 and frequently have to restart studio because I get: Problem Occurred Save Failed javqa.lang.NullPointerException I can't seem to work out a pattern. It happens a lot on creating run process active links. Is there a patch to fix this or is it just part of life as a Remedy developer? ___ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org Where the Answers Are, and have been for 20 years
Re: Is it just me or is BMC Developer Studio full of bugs?
Can you check the jvm heap size for your dev studio. Can try and increase the max to 1024 mb and min to 512 mb. This has reduced the number of restarts for me significantly specially if I work with multiple server in a single instance of the studio.
