7.6.04 Form Permissions Question
I've created a new Panel on a form in which everyone currently has access to that form. I want the new panel to only be accesible to a particular set of individuals. I've tried creating a new dynamic group which then becomes accessible in the permissions list on the form, but how do i associate that new group to an individual. Via the User form it's not selectable to add to a user's profile. Re: 7.6.04 Form Permissions Question
Dynamic groups are assigned by values in fields on records, specifically a field with the same field id as your dynamic group, but that doesn't sound like what you want to do, it sounds like you want a regular group, that you assign to people, and that group has access to the panel On Oct 13, 2013 7:42 PM, Simon Ellis simon.el...@telecom.co.nz wrote: I've created a new Panel on a form in which everyone currently has access to that form. That would work better, but how do you get a regular group selectable in the permissions lists for that Panel? Re: 7.6.04 Form Permissions Question
If it's a regular form, it should just show up, but if it isn't showing up, your form must be in a deployable application, which means you need to create a Role, and map that role to your regular group. Re: Permissions to see all vendors/manufacturers
Hi Paul, What versions are you running? I'm not aware of any special permission being needed to see vendor companies. I'd say though the usual row level access for tenancy would apply. Your users may need to have unrestricted access ticked on their profile or be added to the right set of companies. Cell based tables field - menu choice event not captured
Hi All, We are on ARS 7.5 but will be moving to ARS 8.1. We have a custom AIF in SRM that uses a cell based table field to display questions. One feature in ARS we have found lacking so far is support for a menu selection event on fields within the cell based table. Currently we capture table cell row choices but this is a bit clunky. I will probably suggest this feature as an enhancement in the developer network but I was wondering if any ARS and/or javascript gurus out there knew a way to capture this event using existing technology. Just to clarify, normal fields outside a cell based table panel have an event when you make a selection and you can trigger workflow against this. When selecting a value in a similar field in a cell based table the event doesn't occur and I have to wait until the user moves to the next row and then inspect the value of the previous selection. This is a bit complex and not a great user experience as sometimes I need to add additional questions to the display based on a selection and I do this by refreshing the table field. Hope this is clear. Would be great if I could find a way to do this. Rod ___ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org Where the Answers Are, and have been for 20 years
