Not Seeing the Edited Message in Logs for an Email Action of a Milestone for a SVT

2013-11-18 Thread Sagar G Anandpara
Hi List,

I didn't check for existing similar queries in the Database but just wanted to
know if any one knows why the Message Edited for an Action (Link to Template -
Unchecked) of a Milestone defined for a Service Target is not seen in the Logs
(Administration Tab of the SVT).

I am defining an action for the milestone, Save SVT (which in turn asks if want
to Build, we doing YES).

Editing the Email Message (by Unchecking the Link to Template Check box, which
was left Checked (Default) while creating the action) and again saving the SVT
(and hence again Building the SVT).

Checking the Administration Tab for the logs, but not seeing the Edited Message
(part of the logs).

We are using SLM 7.0.02 P4 on ARS 7.1 Patch 07.

Please advise if we missing doing anything or doing the things incorrectly.

Thanks,
Sagar

Re: [EXTERNAL] Re: ITSM 7.6.04 Incident question

2013-11-18 Thread Stroud, Natalie K
Hey Bob - I'm with SAIC, too!

Do you use Classic View or Best Practices view?

Classic View has a field called Resolution Method that you can fill out during
resolution (I don't remember offhand if it's required during resolution OOB).
I don't think there was an OOB option on that dropdown for "Dispatched", but I
seem to recall one that lets you indicate remote resolution. I know Classic
View is going away in some future release of ITSM, so if you're in the process
of figuring out your implementation, you'll want to think twice about going
that route.

With Best Practices view, you have to do what Roger says and add a new Status
Reason. We use Best Practices view, and we added Tier 3 codes to our
Resolution Categorizations during implementation 2 years ago to note this type
of thing because we were trying to stay OOB, but we've been told that this type
of information is intended to be a Status Reason. Though it seems to me that
with that with the Status Reason route, you still might have to do a
customization if you want to know that the ticket was "Dispatched" or "Resolved
Remotely" even after it's been closed. When our tickets go to Closed status
via the closure auto-escalation, the Status Reason gets changed to "Automatic
Resolution Reported". But I don't know if that happens for all Status Reasons
associated with Resolved when a ticket is auto-closed, or if there are
different behaviors OOB depending on which OOB Resolved Status Reasons you
pick. I know we mostly use "No Further Action Required". It would be something
to investigate.

Good luck!

Trying to stay out of the box if possible.

I'm looking for a way in 7.6.04 Incident Mgt to flag an Incident that a tech had

to be "Dispatched" to work the issue vs working it remote.

Has anyone done this out of the box? i.e. is there a hidden field that once was

used for this functionality?

Thanks

Remedy 8.1 and Avaya Integration (Telephone Integration)

2013-11-18 Thread michael campbell
Any body had any experience they would like to pass on, on doing an integration
with a call center's Avaya system into remedy? Things have changed since
Remedy has gone to a web based front end vs the old client API. Should I look
at a 3rd party piece of software or is it really easier to do it via Java and
the web page? I do not need code if you do not want to share, just an idea
where to start...thx. mike

Re: getting error while saving the active link in developer studio.

2013-11-18 Thread Remedy consultant
Hello,

I tried to remove all permission of AL and added it again. but same warning
appears again. Because of this issue , newly added field mapping in push
field( in same AL push action) is not working. Any idea how to get rid of
this warning/issue?

  Hello All,

I am facing an issue while trying to save active link. I am opening an
existing active link and adding one more push field in existing Push field
action. Then when i try to save that active link , i am getting following
 pop up :

"Group having ID :-20,000 does not exist on the server. This group has
been removed from the permission list., 5309"

when i press "Ok"button present on popup, same active link gets saved.
But data never get pushed into newly added field .

Could you please help me to sort out this issue?

I am using ITSM 7.6.00 Patch 1 and ARS version is 7.5 Patch 8.

 Kindly waiting for the reply.

 Regards,

 Amit B.
