Hi All,

I just created a few buttons on the form to use the same functionality of
the Menu and it worked.
Like Misi said i didn't try the Navigational field, will try and let you
know.

Thanks.

HBSS events normally go to the Enterprise console like McAfee, CounterACT,
RSA Archer, etc..
The console then communicats to the Remedy system via some plugin (theirs
not BMC normally) and injects the ticket.
SIEM also would be another example with BEM/SIM / Patrol, etc..

Vendor specific..
Sometimes BMC does have the connector as well..

Re: Accessing the Menu through Mid-Tier

2015-06-24 Thread Joe D'Souza
I agree. A tool that can convert the definitions is much more useful than
manually changing these fields. If it is just a couple of navigation menus
per form with limited number of forms, then it doesn't make that much of a
difference as it takes more or less the same amount of time.

Cheers

SRDs to map to printers

2015-06-24 Thread Martinez, Marcelo A
Hello Iron Developers,
Has anyone created SRDs to map to printers?

For example, a new employee comes onboard and needs to map to a couple printers
on his/her floor. The SRD would ask a series of questions to find out what
printer they want to map to (i.e.: building\floor\printer), this will in turn
display details of that printer, then on submit would map to that printer..
similar to using startrun\\printservername\printerqueue

*All printers use the same \\printservername..

The twist: we are in a development freeze. So, I can only use what's in the
mystery basket :), which is ITSM - SRM/INC/CHG/SLM/EE etc.. nothing custom.

Thoughts??
