ITSM upgrade from 7.0.03 Patch 009 to 8.1.02

2016-01-12 Thread Debasish Hazarika
Hello Everyone,

Please let me know if anyone has any inputs on the following:

An upgrade to ITSM 8.1.02 creates a new form AST:Attriubtes and migrates
all asset life cycle attributes from Base Element to AST:Attributes, which
involves

   - Transferring data from Base Element
   - Rebuilding the Asset Self join forms
   - and removing the attributes from Base Element.

I am doing one of these upgrades and this process has gone pretty decent
except:

For any custom classes that were in CMDB, the Asset self join forms were
not rebuilt? The secondary member of these join forms should have been
AST:Attributes but that that did not happen when the upgrade installer
ran.Although data for these custom classes were migrated to AST:Attributes
from Base Element.

All out of the box forms had no issues and got rebuilt fine.

Has anyone come across this issue before? Is this a known issue? I have
verified the logs and could spot no errors/warnings regarding the custom
classes.

What can be done to rebuild those custom class' AST Self joins so that they
use AST:Attributes as a secondary member.?

Thanks!

Debasish Hazarika

Re: Intermittent ARERR 623 - v7.6 and v9

2016-01-12 Thread Joe D'Souza
There is a configuration parameter to suppress warnings and error messages.
It would mean it would suppress 623 even in other scenarios. You could try
it and see if that is an acceptable solution.

Cheers

Joe

We have a customized form to change user password. The workflow has a 'Close
All' action once the new password is saved. This leads to error 623 -
'Authentication Failed' for some users. Is it a known defect SW00439943 on
v7.6 and v9? Any hot fix available?

Thanks!

Migration is not possible. Conversion is. User to People, Location to site
these can be exported and imported. Moving Transactional records, IM/PM/CM
would be very difficult.
