It gives the error when creating new request through SOAP UI.

Re: Consuming Complex Web Service

2008-02-11 Thread Ajit Patil
Hello,

Remedy does not provide such container/field which will hold the multiple
values (like array).

You can see your result in Mid-Tier log file where it shows each individual
result.

There is no mechanism in Remedy to collect those results.

Instead you can write your own container in Java or whatever you like to
collect those results.

Hope this'll help you...

Thanks

Frank Caruso-2 wrote:

This is a snippet of what is returned:

 soap:Envelope
 soap:encodingStyle=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/;
 xmlns:namesp1=http://namespaces.soaplite.com/perl;
 xmlns:xsi=http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance;

 xmlns:soap=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/;
soap:Body
   employee_by_cdidResponse xmlns=urn:QQQSoap
  employee_by_cdidResult
 soapenc:arrayType=tns:employee_searchType[1]
 xsi:type=soapenc:Array

 User/team_short_code

  /employee_by_cdidResult
   /employee_by_cdidResponse
/soap:Body
 /soap:Envelope

I can call the service from Remedy and can see the values returned in
 Plugin log file.
However, the Input mapping does not show each individual element. I
see arrayType, offset, id and href.

 Any thoughts?

Getting Unique values from OpGetList

2008-01-29 Thread Ajit Patil
Hi All,

I've created one web service having only one operation OpGetList which
returns number of entries.
It works fine but the problem is I want it should return only Unique values
i.e. if there are same multiple entries then it should return only one value
instead of multiple values like following:

Currently Returning:
Ajit
Ajit
Ajit
Sumit
Sumit
Kiran

Expected Return:
Ajit
Sumit
Kiran

Does anybody gone through this...? or How to set the Qualification for
this?

Please help me out...

Thanks in advance...

Hello Joe,

Now I am getting the multiple entries...But now the problem is I want unique
values from the list...means if there are multiple enties of same name then
it should return only one for that...like following
Original Entries:
Ajit
Ashwin
Ajit
Ashwin
Ashwin

Expected Output:
Ajit
Ashwin

means it should return only one entry for multiple entries having same
name...
I don't understand how to set the qualification here...

Is there any way to achive this...?

Thanks

Re: Problems with Create through inbound AR System Web Services

2008-01-28 Thread Ajit Patil
Hi,
As per the requirement Create Operation requires well managed input
mapping i.e. we should map all the required fields. At the time of input
mapping we can provide default values for that field so at the time of
consuming the webservice it need not to provide the value for that field. It
will take the default value.
You can set the default value in the properties window.

As per the error I think you missed out input mapping for a required field.
Once again check the input mapping for all the required fields.

Also while creating incidents using the WebService you can not use directly
HPD:Help Desk form. Instead you should use the
HPD:IncidentInterface_Create form.

Thanks,
Ajit Patil

The develpment environment worked with the following setup:

It looks like the mapping from version 7.1 to 6.3 of the

Re: Remedy WebService returning error 9334, The XPATH expression /ROOT/maxLimit is not found in input mapping

2008-01-28 Thread Ajit Patil
Hello Matthew,
The maxLimit qualification field is used in the opGetList Operation. This
operation is of type Get.

But in Get Operation system simply ignores the input mapping. All the
entries are returned by using only the qualification. This doesn't mean that
you can not set the input mapping. You can, but system ignores it.

But you can use the XML in qualification.

Only the qualification and Output mapping is important because in this
operation we fetch the values from the AR System. So values are returned on
the basis of qualification and we should use a proper output mapping to hold
these values.

So I think you are using maxLimit somewhere in your qualification so at the
time of expanding the XML it does not getting that element thats why it is
giving the error.

In this case if I am wrong then please let me know the same.

Thanks Regards,
Ajit Patil

I don't have enough knowlege of these.

Will you provide me some useful resources for study?

I'll be highly grateful of you.

 Thanking you,
 Ajit Patil
