DST - Tomcat update advice?

2007-02-23 Thread Julie Kanakanui
We are trying to address DST updates (on AR System 6.3, so going to patch
20 with that).

We are going to do recommended updates for Linux OS (which will also take
care of Apache apparently).

Just wondering if anyone has any advice on the other web components we are
running - Tomcat and IBM Java (see versions below). Will updating those to
meet DST requirements cause any problems with Remedy mid-tier? Will we
have to re-do any settings? (Are there things we should back up?)

Red Hat 3.0, Linux 2.4.21-32
Apache ver 2.0.46-46
Tomcat ver 4.1.31
IBM Java ver 2-1.4.2-1.0

Charge back functionality in Remedy Help Desk for service requests?

2007-01-24 Thread Julie Kanakanui
I've been asked to add some fields and workflow to Remedy Help Desk (ver 6)
to facilitate recording time spent and/or charges on a Case so we can
ultimately charge back some of our clients for certain service requests.
Obviously there's probably many ways to go about this, but in general can
anyone tell me if there is built-in functionality (I've looked a bit but
haven't found anything so far) with the purpose of facilitating charge
back's for services?
