Fast & List Threads [I]
Classification: For internal use only All, I am currently reviewing a well established fully bespoke Remedy system for opportunities for performance improvement and would like to know peoples thoughts on my proposed change to the fast and list thread counts. The hardware powering this system is current and powerful and the virtual slice Remedy 7.1 is running on has 16 cpu cores assigned to it along with 32gb RAM. I am proposing to set the Fast threads to 48/48 (Min/Max) and List to 80/80 (Min/Max) based on the BMC recommendation that fast threads should be 3x cpu cores and list 5x cpu cores. This is a huge increase to existing settings which are 12/30 Fast and 12/25 List. Any thoughts would be gratefully received. Re: Relating SQL from AWR to Remedy Workflow [I]

Relating SQL from AWR to Remedy Workflow [I]
Classification: For internal use only Hi, I am currently working through all high cost SQL identified in an Oracle (10g) AWR report. Does anyone know the best way to relate these SQL statements to the Remedy active links and filters? I am querying the actlink_set/push etc table via SQL Developer but so far I haven't been able to find the right combination of statements/tables to lookup the SQL. As always, thanks in advance! Re: Displaying Remedy information in a NOC [I]
Classification: For internal use only Rick, I would suggest a fully bespoke dashboard page using flashboards to display useful information. i.e servers per location/data center etc. pritch Sent by: "Action Request System discussion list(ARSList)" 28/10/2011 15:34 Please respond to arslist@ARSLIST.ORG To arslist@ARSLIST.ORG cc Subject Re: Displaying Remedy information in a NOC That's what I thought - but before folks answer, need to make sure it's not some type of add-on in Remedy. What kinds of solutions are you all using? I thought that the easiest way would be to simply display the mid-tier web page. Is that workable? They want the data to be pretty much real time. Database Upgrade - 10g to 11g [I]

Re: How to get the Users's license? [I]
Classification: For internal use only Kerry, The trouble you will have is when to fire the check. If you want to capture the users that had a Floating Lic but have now got a Read Floater (due to timeout etc), you will need to fire the workflow before every transaction unless you only wish to track those users who are given a read floater on login. If that is the case, you could fire workflow on login that sets a hidden field and commits. If they have a Floater the commit will save the checkbox etc... if they have a read it wont. You can then use that checkbox in your check qualification. Regards, Paul --- This e-mail may contain confidential and/or privileged information.
