Re: .NET and ARAPI 7.X

2007-08-09 Thread Scott Glass
Daniel,

Just substitute "x" for the drive you wish to install the libraries
on. For example, my pc is "C:\lib", we store it on "E:\lib" on our
servers.

You can name is anything you want really, I just like to keep it simple.
The important thing is that it's in your system path.

Dick,

We use the ARSystem .NET API extensively here. Even though you only
need the BMC.ARSystem.dll associated with your project, you need the
other DLLs included in the package referenced in your PATH statement so
that the aspnet_wp worker process can find them. I usually create a
x:\lib folder and copy all of the DLLs associated with the release
there.

Restart the box, or at least the IIS Admin process and you will be good
to go.

Matt, I absolutely agree that having to repeat the same thing
four or five times does get VERY annoying, VERY fast...

Of course then there’s the “what?!?!?!?”
that comes out of my mouth in response to their response…

Differences in the DEF between 6.3 and 7.01

2007-03-14 Thread Scott Glass

Has anyone had the opportunity to export a 7.0 form and try
and import it into a 6.3 server?

There is nothing on this form that is 7.0 specific, but it
keeps complaining about “A core definition from the definition file is
incorrect:   (2) :  :  (ARERR 405)”

Thanks,

Scott
