Re: Read records from .xml file

2013-07-30 Thread Suresh Kannan
Robin, I think Atrium Integrator approach would be cleaner and easier for you.

1. Create a Data store of XMl type.
2. make sure you have the xml file in a directory which ar can access.
3. Create a job and select the class or an AR form where you want the data to
come in.(You have to do a mapping of the fields too..)

Question on Migrating Approval Mappings?

2012-04-04 Thread Suresh Kannan
Friends,

Prod is ars 7.1 itsm 7.1 RHEL 5 Oracle 11g

I have around 80 Approval Mappings in there and I want to bring it onto our
Sandbox env, ARS 77 itsm 77 beta. What is the best approach to bring that over?
Not Sure doing an Import of the data is the right approach(Since it has the
Support id, Person id references etc.,)? anyone who had this experience if you
can share your thoughts would be really helpful.

Thank you
S K

SSO GURUS..Help Please..!!

2007-01-10 Thread Suresh Kannan
Hello All
I have got the SSSO Authentication using Netpoint and Midtier working. I
am getting the attributes I am expecting in HTTPHEADERS from Netpoint
successfully. I am stuck here, now I have to make use of the attributes to
let the user into the Remedy system or not. Netpoint has done the SSO
Authentication for the user and gave me the attribute values in
HTTPHEADERS.

I am kinda stuck here, my understanding is the AREA plugin is to intercept
the login process and find if it's a valid user and if yes bypass login if
else show the login screen. So, now how can I pass this to AREA plugin and
compare the user name I got from HTTPHEADER and the username from Remedy
database. Any help to proceed to the next step would be really
appreciated!!!

Thank you
SK

Re: Implementing Silent SSO. Has anyone Implemented a custom SSSO.

2007-01-08 Thread Suresh Kannan
I am using Netpoint's SSO Authenticator. when I type url to login to
remedy through the web browser from my workstation the authentication
happens and Netpoint populates the HTTP headers. How can I check the
HTTPHeader variables are popluated as soon as I submit the HTTP request.

The req I type will be something like,
http://localhost:8080/arsys/shared/login.jsp and when I do that the HTTP
Headers should be populated by Netpoint. How can I make sure, Netpoint
Authentication has done it correctly. How can I quickly check that?

Your response will be appreciated.

Re: Implementing Silent SSO. Has anyone Implemented a custom SSSO.

2007-01-04 Thread Suresh Kannan
My env is ARS 7.0.1. and Midtier is 7.1 both are in the same server.
OS - Windows 2003 server
DB - Oracle 10g
Webserver - IIS
Servlet engine - TOMCAT.

basically the users should be able to login without logging into multiple
login screens. basically once they have logged into the windows login they
shoud not be propmted for login in user tool or through Midtier using the
browser.

ANy help is appreciated!!!

** You are going to need both C and Java skills to develop and SSO
solution. The AREA plugin architecture revolves around C while the mid-tier
revolves around Java. There is no avoiding either of these. The biggest
problem I see in the SSO arena is that there is no formalized architecture
for it's implementation. Different solutions approach the problem
differently. Can you provide some details on your environment? Web server,
sso software, authentication scheme, etc.
