Autamated code migration

Hi all,

We are looking for automating the code migration from DEV->Stage->PROD
using tools like kintana, Is it possible to do this for ARS 7.0 using
any tools. Is there any command line feature in ADMIN/MIGRATOR or any
other tool to achieve this.

Is there a way to logoff users if logged in and did not use the system for more than an hour

Hi all,

We have some issues with the Floating License and the want the users to
be logged of from the system if he is connected and not used for form
than one hour. I set the Floating License Timeout to one hour. Will this
help or is there any other way to logoff the user if he is not using ?

BMC ITSM 7.0

We are evaluating ITSM 7.0 installed
 
ARS 7.0
Assignment Engine
Approval Engine
Email
CMDB 2.0
Incident Management
Problem Management
SLM 
 
When i open the CMDB application it opens without any problem, But when
i open Incident Management and Problem Management applications, i get
blank screen does not open the applications? Any body has any idea what
is happening?

Linux Installation for CMDB

Hi,
 
We are trying to setup linux for ITSM 7.0 , installed the
 
ARS server 7.0 patch 2
Assignment Server
Approval Server
Email Engine
 
All these went without any problem, but when we try intalling CMDB 2.0 ,
it gives error in installation , our linux is Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4
with oracle 10g and Unicode. Let me know if anyone had installation
problem and did anything to fix the issue. 
 
System have 300 GB disk with enough space for arsystem tablespace 3.5 GB
also have 4GB memory.
 
Also when it comes to stability what would be the preference among these
(Windows,Sun Solaris, Linux).

Moving to ITSM 7.0

Hi,
 
We are moving from Remedy 6.0 HELPDESK 4.0 to ITSM 7.0 and we have a lot
of integrations on ARSPERL. We are looking to move forward with most of
the integrations using the Web Services instead of the ARSPERL, because
of the restriction on installing the ARSPERL in the new production
envirronment. So i am looking for perl code/example on how to consume
and publish for Web Services, so that i can convert my code. Any help
will be appreciated.

Hi,

The better way is to get the table name for this from from ARSCHEMA and
then the fields from FIELD table and update accordingly. This will work.

Max Entries Returned by Getlist

Server 6.00.01 Patch 1473
 
We have on this server an escalation which runs twice in a day and we
have
 
Max Entries Returned by Getlist = 3000 
 
so the question is does the escalation returns only 3000 rows or will it
returns all the rows.
 
When i run the sql of this escalation it must retrieve 2+ rows.
