Arerr 1950: Error loading menu

2007-11-20 Thread Shrestha, Manjari R.
ARS 5.1.2 on Win 2000 with SQL 2000 SP3

In the middle of routine work yesterday our remedy server began throwing
error Arerr 1950: Error loading menu. The error does not seem to be
appearing for all the agents, only few. I looked at the memory and they
have plenty unused. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Error loading menu

Character menu expansion failed in the symbols library; the menu did not
load. This is often caused by a lack of space in the Windows resource
heap when loading large menus.

Thanks!

Arerr 1950: Error Loading Menu

2006-11-08 Thread Menachem, Sharon

ARS 5.1.2 patch 1484
on Win 2003 with SQL 2000 SP3 and Helpdesk 5.6

In the middle of
routine work yesterday our remedy server began throwing all kinds of weird
messages on other peoples machines (no-one thought to capture them for me to
look at). I couldn't find anything in any of the logs but we could not work at
all so I decided to restart the remedy service. That seemed to solve the problem
and we resumed regular work.

However since then I
have beenhaving a problem on the Location configurationwindow and on the AST:Asset form when accessing the drop down
menu of the Site field - SHRCFG:loc-Site menu and SHR:Site menu. The error
that I get is Arerr 1950: Error loading menu. The data is there
and can be accessed if I do a general search on the location form. The
Department menu which is dependent on the Site information works fine if I put a
value into the site field.

I looked at the
menus and it doesn't look like anything got messed up or changed.

Has anyone come
across this before?
I'm trying to figure
out what the quickest way to fix this is - should I create a new menu should I
import the menu from a backup ... etc.

Any advise will be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Sharon
