Hi Claire,
I know that in ITSM 7, the system uses a SYS:Message Box form to hold note
messages. Workflow just looks up an entry in this form, sets in a display only
field then displays the contents of the field to the user.
If you can't find it in the AR System Data Dictionary, then it would suggest
that
this message is generated dynamically (perhaps by being looked up in the way
described above).
I would think that the easiest way of verifying this is to turn on Active Link
and
Filter Logging, reproduce the scenario and find the workflow that generates the
message...trace backwards from there.
HTH
Chris.
P.S. - I don't think I've ever heard Helpdesk 4.03 being called lovely
before! I
could share some of the words I've heard used to describe it, but I might get
banned
from the list ();o) ITSM 7.0 is the way forward...try it...you might like it...
When a new asset is created in the CMDB using the AST:ComputerSystem
form as the entry point, the confirmation message says Request
$20020$ has been created
20020 translates into the Name field, not the Asset ID+ field
(21000).
This is a big problem. How do I change the message? I've looked for the
message in the database and can't find it. I've looked through the
workflow and can't find what is populating that box.
I've already had to add filters to stop the database from allowing the
creation of duplicate Asset ID+ entries.
W I really do miss my beautiful mostly bug and hassle free
