Re: Email Notifications not populating filed information
We are using HTML templates. We have used Request ID field in these templates and I have verified on both the machines there is no difference in all the templates. Surprisingly it is not working for few Users on Test machine. Are you using a template or including fields in the notification? The Request ID could be missing on test but selected on dev. Re: Email Notifications not populating filed information
Sreenivas, Going off of what Doug has stated and your answers here I would suggest you check to see if the Users who do NOT get the information have the correct permission to the Request_ID field or an Assignee Group field (ID 112). If the Request_ID field is not viable by the public or a group in the users group list you will not see any data in an email Notification. Likewise the Assignee Group field will restrict who sees data by the group ID(s) listed in the field. HTH, --- John J. ** Sreeni,Well, if it works in one place and not in the other, there must be something different between the two, right? And if, in the imperfect case, it works for some users but not for some others, there must be something different between those user accounts, or, perhaps, with the roles those accounts have for the specific ticket that sends the mail. When the mail is sent correctly, all of the fields are sent to some of the users? When the fields are not sent, are ALL the fields missing or just some of the fields? Re: Email Notifications not populating filed information
Sreenivas This is almost certainly due to field permissions. If you are sending to a Remedy login name, a group or an email address in the User form Remedy can figure out the recipients permission for the fields involved. If you are sending to any other email address the email engine will use only those fields with Public permission. The easy fix is to make most of the fields on your form public, but of course that depends on the sensitivity of the data in those fields.
