Re: Enum Field ID Changes

2007-07-24 Thread Axton

Reordering them is another ball game. The app was also written
against 6.x, so the non-linear enum-ids were not leveraged when it was
written. Also, there are problems with the non-linear enum-ids:

http://bugs.arswiki.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31

AFAIK, there were some issues with the custom enum-ids fixed in the
latest patch level in regards to the email engine, but not sure if
this was addressed.

Axton,

I thought that you would not have to renumber the enums in 7.0.1,
because now you can choose the custom enum id option in enum fields.

Thus, you can insert values in the middle of the list without having to change
workflow.

Re: Enum Field ID Changes

2007-07-24 Thread Michiel Beijen
That is nice, but would only work if your application is designed with these
custom enum ids; such as 10-New, 20-Assigned etc. This will allow you to add
some in at a later stage.
Of course if you would use an existing (pre-7) app on v7, you would still
have this problem.
