You would want to look at using the template.html file and inject some 
javascript that hides it.

That file should be under the folder kms_conf.

something like

c:\Program Files\ar system applications\BMC Knowledge
Management\data\kms_conf

Ah ok I found it...but it's a blank file. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do 
with this.

FYI I'm not too savvy with html or java scripting.

I am not either but if you open it with notepad it is actually not  
blank.  I was hoping there was some jsp file you could change but I  
could not find it

There is a section in KMS_config.xml that you should be able to comment out
the line and that should hide it.

It is under the query section.
