You can also park it on the right hand side of the window.

2007-04-02 Thread Reiser, John J
Gary,

Just double click the grey area at the top of the window. It will
're-park' itself.
If you've already clicked the 'x' then you need to close/open a new
server window.

This feature could be useful for really deep prefix trees. Widen the
prefix area to see the deepest object and then 'un-park' it. Move it off
to the side and your objects' details expand to the whole frame.
Not really useful without a second monitor though.

This is the same behavior on 6.03 Admin Tool unpatched.

Is there a way to re-attach it (now that you got me to un-attach it :) )
without having to close/open new server windows?

Thanks!

Looks like you can drag/drop it back in, though you have to get the
placement right.

Okay, it re-attaches if you drag it and drop it really quickly. If you,
however, drag and stop before you drop, it does not re-attach.

There is a gray area above the "Server list"(The tree like display
portion of a "Server Window") that if you double click on it that the
"Server list" will "separate" from the "List of objects" part of the
window and become a second window. These two windows are apparently
still "linked" in so much as when you change the selected object Class
in the "Server List" (like Forms, or Active Links) then the list value
changes in the second window.

You can apparently do this to multiple windows at the same time too.
(Again, I see no value in this behavior.)

Just curious if anyone else had found this behavior in other version
or has any reason why this is a valuable "feature" of the Admin Tool.
Anyone?

( I also have not seen any mail on the list to day... so I kind of
wanted to poke it and see if it is still working. This little quark
serves as a reasonable excuse. :)
