*Position: 19329 - Bobsled Test Engineer*

*Location: Bellevue, WA*

*Contract: 6 Months*

*Job Description:   *



Test Engineer focuses on the innovation, integration, optimization, and
compliance of voice and personal network based rate plan products and
services. Interacts with other engineering groups to define, document,
analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or
modifications. Identifies functional problems and suggests resolutions.
Assists in the definition of internal quality control standards and the
maintenance of reliability programs. Analyzes test cases and provides
regular progress reports



The individual will work directly with product development to create and
execute test cases, track bugs and issue resolution within the various
stages of software development to ensure the overall quality of the
products, and dive deeply into the technology looking for problems to fix.
The application environments include Android and iOS mobile apps as well as
those made for desktop and the web.



*Common tasks:*

·  Test new Android, iOS, and web-based applications

·  Create, revise, and execute test plans, processes, and best
practices

·  File product defects in bug tracking system

·  Use tools like Wireshark and ADB to detect security faults or
extract detailed technical information

·  Participate in post-launch support of software deployment



*Minimum Required Skills / Competencies: Candidate must be highly *

· proactive, disciplined, innovative, persistent, prudent, and able
to manage multiple tasks and projects.

· 2-4 years of experience as a test engineer or related position



*Competencies and Skills:*

·  Excellent communication

·  Conduct logical troubleshooting and testing

·  Understand Android, iOS, and web application architecture and
how to reverse engineer each with the purpose of exposing issues

·  Configure, capture, and understand output from Wireshark

·  Familiarity with typical API types and use, and the ability to
interpret application behaviour based on logged information

·  Analyze data for functional or behavioural trending

·  Consider downstream software environment impacts

·  Adapt as priorities change



*Preferred skills: *

·  Previous experience working with telecommunications standards
and IT standards preferred



*Experience:*

·  Mobile industry

·  Agile software development

·  Web application deployment

·  Android/iOS/Windows/OSX architecture and ecosystem familiarity
