· SAN Disk Technologies

· SAN Switch Technologies

· SAN Tape Technologies

· NetBackup Administration

· Communication Skills



*Recurring Project Tasks:*

· Disk Storage Administration and Support

· SAN Switch Administration and Support

· NAS Solution Administration and Support

· Symantec NetBackup Administration and Support

· Oral and Written Communication with NITC Management as well as
Internal and External Customers

· Disaster Recovery Testing Activities

· Disaster Recovery Planning and Documentation

· Vital Records Documentation

· Weekly Activity Reporting

· Configuration Management and Change Control Procedures



*Knowledge and Skills:*

· Strong knowledge of NetApp

· 5+ years current  administration of DMX3000, DMX4000 and Clariion
CX storage array including native software, (i.e.) SRDF, virtual
provisioning, and cache monitoring

· 5 + years current EMC SRDF time finder and BCV setup,
configuration and administration

· 5+ years current EMC control center(ECC) and Symcli administration

· Strong knowledge of Brocade Director class switch management and
FabricOS CLI/Zoning

· Strong knowledge with ACSLS

· Strong knowledge of StorageTek Tape Library and Veritas NetBackup
software administration

· Having some HDS storage experience would be a plus

*These are some additional skills that USDA is looking for in the SAN
Administrator. SAM-FM Administration is important, especially if they are
not strong on storage side with EMC.*

system administration SAN administration (EMC, Hitachi, Sun/LSI) NetBackup
