Subj: Hurricane Sandy Update - October 26

Approaching StormHURRICANE SANDY TO EFFECT OUR AREA SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH
TUESDAY MORNING

HURRICANE SANDY WILL DO THE UNHEARD OFMAKE LANDFALL IN THE NORTHEAST
U.S. FROM THE EAST...SOMEWHERE BETWEEN LONG ISLAND AND OCEAN CITY, MD

VERY SLOW MOVEMENT WILL RESULT IN DAMAGING COASTAL FLOODING FOR MULTIPLE
HIGH TIDES BEGINNING SUNDAY NIGHT

FRIDAY - OCTOBER 26TH - 7AM

Hurricane Sandy is currently paralleling the east coast of Florida with
maximum sustained winds of 80mph. The wind field in the hurricane is
starting to broaden and this trend will continue for the next several days.
It
is important not to focus much on the maximum sustained winds as this storm
will not have a tight small core of very high winds when it impacts our
area. Sandy will strengthen this weekend through non-tropical processes so
as the central pressure in the storm begins to lower again, this will
translate into a larger and larger area of hurricane force winds, not an
increase in winds around a small area near the center.

This morning, the very consistent European model guidance continues to
show landfall around Ocean City, MD early Monday evening, while the american
(GFS) model brings the storm into New York City on Tuesday afternoon. The
difference in landfall points is due to the timing of the capture of
Sandy by the developing trough to our west. The capture is earlier in the
european model so landfall is quicker and further south.

Because of the immense size and strength of Sandy by the time it gets to
our latitude, it is not going to make much difference on the results in the
New Jersey area. It appears as though we are going to be dealing with a
hurricane that will be making landfall near our area from the
southeasta historic storm.

Rain will begin on Sunday afternoon and continue through Tuesday with the
likelihood of 4 to 6 inches of rain spread across that timeframe.

East winds will increase and gust at or near hurricane force (75mph) along
the coast on Monday. Inland, wind gusts of 50mph to 60mph are likely.

Coastal floodingthis has the potential to be an unprecedented storm in
terms of coastal flooding. If you have interests or properties along
the immediate coast, do not draw comparisons or try to measure this up to any
other hurricane or storm of the past. This is a hurricane approaching
the coast from the southeast. This path will pile enormous amounts of water
into the coastline to the north of its track. The entire coast of New
Jersey looks to be in the crosshairs of the real potential of severe coastal
flooding.

High tides are 7:00pm on Sunday, 7:30 am and 8:00pm on Monday. Monday's
high tides will be the worst.

There is the real possibility of major damage or complete destruction of
boardwalks, pavilions, piers, or any structure right along the coastline.
Beachfront and bayfront homes are also at risk of significant damage.
Coastal lakes will not be able to discharge rain water and will likely be
inundated with salt water flooding from the ocean. The ocean and back bays
could reach levels beyond what has been seen in recorded history.

This is obviously a very serious situationupdates will continue.

THURSDAY - OCTOBER 25TH - 9AM

Hurricane Sandy made landfall in Jamaica Wednesday afternoon and then
rapidly deepening while moving northward through the waters between Jamaica
and Cuba. Sandy made landfall in eastern Cuba last evening just short of a
major hurricane. She has now exited the Cuban coast and headed for the
Bahamas with maximum winds of around 100mph.

Since yesterday, the spray amongst the various computer guidance has not
changed much. Almost all of the guidance suggests landfall somewhere
between Maryland and eastern Long Island.

The chances of Sandy escaping to the east and remaining offshore are slim
at this point. The block in the north Atlantic is simply to strong to
allow for a weakness in the steering flow to allow Sandy to move out to sea.

Taking in all of the data, it is quite likely that our area is going to be
impacted by Sandy and the most serious impact will be coastal flooding.
Given that a very deep storm will be moving toward the coast, rather than
parallel to the coast as is the norm for tropical systems at our latitude,
the potential for coastal flooding is very high as water will be pushed
more efficiently into the coastline.

For our area, a track near or to our south would result in much more wind
and coastal flooding. Conversely, a track to our north or east would
cause less wind

While the location was neat not the best for making the most $ out of the
bamboozle franchise...

Easier to have it the race track then schlepping everyone to ap... easy setup,
host a bigger crowd/event with less risk and costs = more cash for the vendors
and promoters. And the track can handle the crowd
