[AsburyPark] Re: The only way to deal with a cold hearted company.......
1. Brian, try now FBooking em. With some class. you like them then hit them. Did with nordstroms, got my $ back, the ladders.com got my Recurring fee, timewarner, etc. Companies have to really take a good look at HOW and WHY they use non-social media like twitter, fb and all the other bs - that is actually now charging to get your message out. IF you have a co and you post a message, it does not get out to all your followers. 2. Let's see - so if they keep it closed, people don't come, their leaseholders suffer and, if the leases are based on a % of sales, they hit their own pocketbooks. 3. Do they need funding to get the minigolf cleaned up? 4. In the end, if a grant or other funding mechanism is needed to open it up and bring people in, guess what - it probably has to be done - unless someone has the balls to say no to a request they do need. 5. and to werner, the building may be fireproof but people aren't. And SMOKE kills more then then flames do. And a fire is what eventually put out Convention Hall Coffee shop some...shit almost 40 years ago. Time flies. Codes were made stricter for places were people gather after the numerous club fires. Intentional and unintentional. A reason I never liked the pony - afraid of getting stuck in there. And I still think it's scary. Yahoo! [AsburyPark] Madison Marquette has the money to buy the sprinklers..........
They just don't want to do it. They are at war with the council and city manager. They don't like each other. This is gonna turn into a big ugly legal battle at some point. Quite simply, I believe the governing body of the city and Mr. Mottola have differing views of beachfront development. Lets just say, I believe the city has a more multi-cultural progressive viewpoint..and MM is more, shall we say conservative in their marketing approach. I don't believe confrontation is the answer. I would, for once, like to simply hear Mr. Mottola's and Mayor Johnson's views of what should be transpiring regarding beachfront development. Unfortunately I believe you will not, because of the aire of political correctness now migrating through society. Friends, this is I believe a very touchy situation. The end game needs to be a new city council, new City Manager and new Commerce Director who can bring some new ideas into play. There is nothing more to say. Sadly, this is becoming a very ugly matter that runs very deeply into individuals core values. It may be conjecture on my part, but it isn't just about business. Read between the lines. Have a nice day. Yahoo!
