Thanks Werner. Still would like to see them displayed again somewhere. All my old Guido neighborhood friends used to love to see their hometown names spinning in the sky. If there is a Sanity Clause, we'll have at least one Ferris Wheel and one Carousel by next season. grin In a message dated 7/24/2008 7:28:09 A.M. I was recalling when the original carved figures were removed and sold in the early 80s. It then operated with fiberglass replacements until 1990. Then to Myrtle Beach. I don't remember carousels going out of vogue. All I know is, one day, the carousels were SOLD! GONE, KAPUT! Don't know which regime decided that, but it was back in the mid 80's. I was raising kids. 2 were in college, with three bringing up the rear! What a city! --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, dapawprint [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hello? MM? That's where the farmers market was to be located, but apparently it still isn't ready and hasn't received approvals yet. In my opinion, the Carousel Farmers Market, located in the Casino walkway, has been a huge letdown so far. Plus, the city is advertising the one on main on the city ad board, with no mention of the Carousel location. --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, Heshy [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Just what are the powers that be planning to put into the Casino carousel house (now that they have it all gated up)?
