If an emergency happened today, the only station, we could get live
information, would be NJ 101.5, or WNYC 91.5!  Everything else would
be on the shortwave bands.  Will 88.1 be able to do it?

We'll never see the likes of Murrow, again!  The closest to this is
Bill Moyers!

They are for the most part live radio and if their EAS receiver is working, 
which it was the last time I saw it, will broadcast any emergency reports 
automatically. Just like all radio stations in the area It is required in the 
terms of their license.
