Re: [AsburyPark] Re: New planters around Convention hall, and Bradley park side of Ocean ave.
There are no plans to 'cut-down' the park as you put it. You are completely wrong about the sprinkler system. It was paid for, installed and donated to the City by the Garden Club. The only thing wrong with it was that the City refused to maintain it or even use it. The Bradley Park one day will be renovated. Do you think it will really remain in the same state that it's in now? I'm fully aware that the sprinkler system was donated from the garden club to the city. Maybe i should have worded better. The fact was that it was paid for, and then destroyed (as you, and others have pointed out). __ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com

The bottom line is the CH is one of the focal points of Asbury Park that people will judge it by.? It looks like crap in the inside now, broken tile floors, cracks on the wall etc.? An attractive and fixed up CH will do alot to the revival of the town. -Original Message- From: Allan Peterson [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com Sent: Sun, 4 Nov 2007 7:52 am Subject: Re: [AsburyPark] Re: New planters around Convention hall, and Bradley park side of Ocean ave. Disputing the location of platers is really splitting hairs.we should all me happy MM is PLANTING as well as all the others who are vested in this AP community. I like Charlie's comment. one step at time.or was it step by step, something like that. John Thanks. It makes sence to me OF COURSE plants in the park would be nice, but do you see any construction activity going on there? Why plant shurbs and trees when the ground they are planted in will soon be leveled down a few feet? The placement of the planters is purley an opinon. They are beautifucation. If you don't like them, thats fine, but it's your opinion. __ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com

Considering that people go to Convention hall (shows and events are scheduled) maybe that is why there is a focus. I gather the impression that some will not be happy unless Asbury Park looks exactly as it did in 1972 and back they it was failing. There will always be people who don't like change... Change is happening and will happen in the future (a lot!). There's no way around it. Saving buidlings and historical sites are good and should be done (I know there are issues with this topic, but lets not get into that right now, stick with the overall concept). When you start adding new things, things that weren't there before, people tend to throw questions out left and right. It's wild. New things are coming, things that weren't there before. __ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com
