Dear Buljit ? A few years ago a team of about a group of ten people along with a local historian stayed in this eco village for a day or two. We went there with the right credentials along with a local historian.?The members of my team were all my relatives except the historian.Needless to say that we were royally received in spite of an winter's cold and drizzle. One of the members of the team planted a tree inside the compound of the nearby Buddhist temple. I hope the tree will help remember our visit in future.? ? You see, I feel I am??duty bound? to write a few lines. I am not worrying that i did not write any article after my visit. It was mainly because I was not able to?obtain certain information I wanted. But the organisers of the centre are energetic and active people and they are?continuing to do a lot to maintain the?attractiveness of their centre. ? The paramount need of the village is a bridge on the river which you have to negotiate before you can reach the village.There was an unsteady bamboo 'sakoo' which most?of us were able to cross but not without?help.The landrover carrying us?remained on the bank of the river on the approach road to the village ? -bhuban. ? This is a historic and strategic place.?It is a part of the?East where World War?II took place. The Stillwell road to Myanmar just starts here across the main road. And surprisingly we cannot question the judicial system in our country, because Indian judiciary is accountable to none.
