i guess you are right. awards help bring recognition - but you might be knowing that even with India's top award Bharat Ratna - Bismillah Khan had t beg for help in his old age - thru the press . One has to come up the hard way - having dealt with ULFA and now talking about it - HP Barooah-da probably knows it very well.
