Dear Ms. Ruchira Hoon,

It seems you are a regular writer for "Art and Culture" section of
Hindustantimes. In your recent article "Dance like a Sattriya woman" you have
written "............. Menaka has used her talent to focus on Sattriya, a
tribal
dance form from Assam that has now been elevated to the status of a classical
dance." Satriya is not a tribal dance. From where did you get this information?
If you would have done your home work before writing this article, you would
have known the fact that Assamese cultural and social reformer Srimanta
Sankardeva created this dance form and now prevalent and trained in 'Satras
(Vaishnavaite monestry). Even if you did not care to do your home work, you
could have asked Menaka P P Bora about this dance form!

Ms. Hoon, please use your talent to disseminate correct information through
media. I think, you are wise enough to take your next step regarding this
article
(http://www.hindustantimes.com/Dance-like-a-Sattriya-woman/Article1-583325.aspx).

Your sincerely
