If you open, or come across, an issue in Jira that you plan to work
yourself, it would help us a lot if you clicked the "Acknowledge" button
at the top of the issue to open it then assign it to yourself. This helps
us out by removing it from our triage queue.

Sounds like a great approach!

Yep. My fault. We may be able to do this automatically in our Gerrit
hooks. When a patchset is created we can get the issue id from the commit
message and open it and assign it to the user . We're investigating.

[asterisk-dev] Opening issues in Jira if you're going to work them

2021-09-03 Thread George Joseph
If you open, or come across, an issue in Jira that you plan to work
yourself, it would help us a lot if you clicked the "Acknowledge" button at
the top of the issue to open it then assign it to yourself. This helps us
out by removing it from our triage queue.

Thanks!
