RE: [Asterisk-Users] NMI issues...

2005-02-01 Thread Christopher Slaght
I tried to get the TDM card to work in an IBM xSeries 350 700Mhz Zeon.
What I found was that the WCTDM card does not like the 64 bit slots. If
you put the card in the 32-bit 33Mhz slot it works all day. If you move
it into a 33Mhz/64-bit slot or 66 MHz/64-bit slot, as soon as you
modprobe wctdm, the NMI lights on the server light up and you have about
a minute before the server reboots itself.

Ok, so we went out and bought a 2650 per the lists advice, putting it
plainly ...
SSDD

DD = different dell, I won't even bother with "SS" :)

I'm having the exact same issue on a brand new Dell Poweredge 700, using
FC2. It locks the machine totally.

I dont' think it's the digium hardware fault. Why? I've got probably
8-10
machines like this and they all get occasional NMIs with the 'uhhuh'
message. It's defiently kernel related...hell these boards don't work
under anything older than 2.4.27.

[Asterisk-Users] Return call after transfer with no answer

2005-01-31 Thread Christopher Slaght

I am implmenting Asterisk at a customer site where we have 8
inbound pots lines (using the Digium TDM pci cards) and 10+ SIP phones.
The customer wants all incoming calls to ring all stations which is no big deal
since I created a variable called RINGALL and added all the phones to it and
only go into one general voicemailbox if it rings more than 5 times.

The problem is, lets say that a call comes in on Zap/1 and I
pick it up from Ext 200.  The call is for the person at ext 205 so I
transfer it.  If the person at 205 is not there to answer the call, I
would think that the call should bounce back to me to handle versus it going
back to ringall and then someone else picking it up and maybe going through
transfering it all over again.

The issue is that I cant seem to find a way for the call to
return to the station that origionally transfered the call.

I read about RDNIS or DNIS but neither work in this
situaltion.

Any ideas or would the variable that I need not exist at
this point?

Thanks,

Chris Slaght
