RE: [Asterisk-Users] Software only Asterisk PBX (commercial)
Seshu, I have been using Switchware and PBXWare from Bicom since last November. I can tell you that there are both wonderful products and highly recommended. The support I got from Bicom Systems is better than I have ever had from most companies. How many companies on this list can you call during office hours and get a human to answer maybe 8 out of 10 times or even call on a Sunday if you have a problem? A*H and AMP are also great products that I have also experimented with but to be honest it was cheaper for me to pay for a license from Bicom as I am not a developer and get free support rather than get an opensource solution and pay through my teeth for support or hope that someone in a forum responds to my request for help. I don't know what your motive is but have you ever made a donation to the A*H, AMP or any others that you mentioned or are you going to ride on the hard work of the Open source community without giving anything back? Bicom Systems want to ride on the Open source systems without giving back anything to the community. [EMAIL PROTECTED], AMP, Phonecall, AreskiCC, ASTPP etc have a positive and different approach and hence they are gaining popularity. [Asterisk-Users] Looking for a commercial version of an IAX2 Softphone
Hello All, I have been looking for a commercial version of an IAX2 Softphone for Windows but the ones I have came across (i.e. Iaxcomm, Iaxphone, Diax) do not seem to have an updated version since April 2004 in some cases. We looked at Firefly but we sent emails to Virbiage/Freshtel with questions and could never get a response from them. Has anyone got any recommendations for commercial version an IAX2 softphone that we could test? Thanks in Advance Errol ___ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users
RE: [Asterisk-Users] Looking for a commercial version of an IAX2Softphone
Hi William, Most my users will be Windows based. My problem is that I am not a developer so I am unable to modify an open source client. Iaxcomm and Iaxphone only seem to support GSM but it would be nice to have support for iLBC as well. All I really need is to have the color scheme of the skin changed and a few buttons working etc but I would want the most recent version. If anyone wants to contact me off-list to discuss further please feel free. Like I was saying I'm not sure if you will find once advanced enough using IAX2 currently. Firefly was the most evolved when I too was looking but their oem terms weren't exactly what I wanted to spend given the fact that I probably would be going hardphones eventually. Depending on your need IAXPhone isn't bad for windows. Iaxcomm is my preference for cross platform. Perhaps it will take modifying an open source client and adding new features for this area to progress. -- William ___ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users ___ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users
[Asterisk-Users] [Asterisk Users] Help with SIP Hosted Billing Service
Hello All, I am trying to connect to a third partys SIP based Hosted Billing service that supports G729 as I have found it difficult to get hold of prepaid billing solution for Asterisk. I was able to get an IAX2 connection working fine with another provider but as I am unable to find a billing service that supports IAX/IAX2, I need to connect to a hosted billing service using SIP and G729. I have purchased and installed the G729 licenses from Digium as required. My endpoints are Xten Pro and Snom. I am not sure what the problem is but this is my dial plan in extensions.conf [default] include = incoming include = from-iax include = from-sip include = iaxtel-outbound include = sip-pstn include = iax2-pstn [sip-pstn] **I am not certain if this is correct. exten = _81NXXNXX,1,SetCallerID(123456) exten = _81NXXNXX,2,SetCIDName(Myself) exten = _81NXXNXX,3,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:[EMAIL PROTECTED],60,tr) exten = _81NXXNXX,4,Congestion [iax2-pstn] exten = _0[1-9].,1,Dial(IAX2/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/44${EXTEN:1}) exten = _00.,1,Dial(IAX2/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/${EXTEN:2}) If anyone has any suggestions I would be happy to listen.
