The system I'm using is a Compaq Deskpro EN (or EP) 500.
500 mHz PIII

Fedora Core 2 (no updates! may upgrade / reinstall to FC 3 tonight)

[Asterisk-Users] Newbie - NO Problems!!!

2004-11-16 Thread Maloney, Michael
Title: Newbie - NO Problems!!!

Just received my TDM400P (TDM21B) with 2 FXS and 1 FXO.  Took about 2 hours to have a working test Asterisk box with 2 phones and 1 POTS line, and that includes a bare metal installation of Fedora Core 2.

Caller*ID is also working flawlessly.

My previous test box included a US$5 X100P clone, which could never quite get the Caller ID working properly.

To all the newbies like me out there, spend the few bucks for one to the TDM400P cards, in whatever configuration you need.

It was money _well_ spent!

Thanks to Digium for providing an excellent card.

PS - I have no affiliation with Digium, etc...

I am using * on a RH9 380Mhz AMD K6 processor (With XP100 card), as well as Fedora Core 1 on a PII 333 Mhz machine for a couple of small SIP phone tests. One at work, and one at home.  Things seems to be working just fine.

Has anybody tried to install * in any of these minimalist linux distros like tinylinux?

Which linux distro would you use to run * in old P2, P3 boxes?

[Asterisk-Users] OT: Asterisk-Users digest Text Settings...

2004-03-24 Thread Maloney, Michael
Hello All-

I'm receiving *-Users in digest mode. Is there any way to change digest
mode so the messages are text-only. It seems that every message compiled
into digest mode has the text and mime parts (or worse HTML!) all rolled
into one. Multiply that by the number of messages, and digest becomes
difficult to read.

Thanks,
Mike M.
