RE: [Asterisk-Users] Looking for a commercial version of an IAX2Softphone

2004-09-26 Thread Michael Workman
Yes We have one... Its going to be released in October... We are in middle
of Moving so once we move and get things settled we will be going online

Unlike the diax and iaxcom and iaxphone ours is using DirectSound and has
many more abilities.

We are releasing software for our services but we plan on releasing a
limited version that just does IAX2 for Asterisk users

Subject: [Asterisk-Users] Looking for a commercial version of an
IAX2Softphone

Hello All,

I have been looking for a commercial version of an IAX2 Softphone for
Windows but the ones I have came across (i.e. Iaxcomm, Iaxphone, Diax) do
not seem to have an updated version since April 2004 in some cases.

We looked at Firefly but we sent emails to Virbiage/Freshtel with questions
and could never get a response from them.

Has anyone got any recommendations for commercial version an IAX2 softphone
that we could test?

Thanks in Advance

Errol

[Asterisk-Users] Why are you guys promoting a Rippoff

On your web you have a link

To Setup Calling with Diamondcard.us and I signed up and paid the money
according to Stephen Karrington it was all automated... And it was automated
to take money but when you look for service hookups or information you don't
get it.

I have tried now for last little while to contact them for support and got

Why don't you take your problem up with them and not with this list? This
has absolutely NOTHING to do with asterisk. Just because they're listed in
the wiki doesn't mean that it's endorsed.

RE: [Asterisk-Users] ztdummy on Fedora Core 2

2004-09-15 Thread Michael Workman
Ya I ran into that same problem

What I had to do was to do a make config on kernel... And make the kernel
and install
Just make sure you do make modules and make module install before you
reboot...

Then reboot on new kernel and then reconfigure and make your zap... It
should be no problem then

You having problems loading modules is what's happening... The standard
kernel is version controlled if you do a basic make config and just hold
down enter key till done then make and install

You should have no problems
But also I found that adding software watchdog timer help too..

Am I missing something obvious? The system is Debian stable. I compiled the

if I run that query myself I get results back ... what else is left? Help,

[Asterisk-Users] MySQL and IAX Friends [Anyone Want the Code]

2004-09-19 Thread Michael Workman
I have been faced with a problem

I am designing a system that users can signup VIA web and cause of firewalls
and stuff SIP is out of question.

I saw the iaxfriends for the MySQL and figured this would work nice because
I could use PHP to control MySQL but when I went to use it I found it did
not work properly and only 20% of the time it worked.

Also if client was inside network then the iaxfriends could receive calls
but outside of network he could not.

I started to look at code and rebuilt it from Ground up so it reloads all
the iaxfriends from MySQL when asterisk does a reload.

I have the code done and working now and we tested it. I have some custom
IAX Hardware phones and they connect and cal and get calls now 100% of the
time.

The new code treats iaxfriends as if they are written in the iax.conf

I am working on a proper MySQL iaxfriends now just getting ready to post on
bug site

Tested and works great

It loads all your iaxfriends into registry when you do a reload... So if you
add new users to MySQL you have to do a reload

Subject: [Asterisk-Users] Configuration on MySQL or not

Hi

I am getting more hands on about Asterisk issues but I got a question to
ask.

What is the common factor, to put all configurations bind to MySQL or have
them as they are originally on text configuration files.

Maybe this questions can be out of focus, but it will clear up some ideas in
the future

All type of comments are welcome

Maybe is not right to ask, but those changes are GPL to the community?
If yes, any README to integrate them, or detailed explanation

If not, no problem, is nice to know that those changes exist

Ah yes, some channels. We use SIP channels exclusively and unfortunately I
think they do not behave as wanted...

Yes, I did not write too much, but one part of the issue is, that NuFone
does not answer to technical questions either, but asks for set-up help in
IRC. So to see, it is a hint for technical people to take care if they
suddenly get an offer for consulting, just when you ask a technical
question.
> 2. you have threatened to post it to further such lists and forums

I strongly disagree with that!
"places" are not only lists! Maybe you are too new on the net to figure out,
that there are still "other places".

Have you tried to Google for Nufone? Than you might find "other places" too.

Again, I just want to have the log files. I do not get answer and that is a
fact. If you have "good contacts" to Jeremy, maybe you can convince him to
send the log file. It is that simple.

I have set-up a filter for NuFone, and when I have time and catch a message
with that trigger word, I will post my thoughts. Thanks for pointing out not
to send too many messages. However, to answer to another ones message, .

have a nice day!

He only brought that up after people started questioning it. So I dunno.
And lets face it, this is the internet there is really no proof of anything.
Screen captures of a webpage? That is easy enough to forge. Invoices?
They too are easy enough to forge.

Even if someone states they had horrible call quality you have no proof, but
that is generally accepted that that one person experienced that.
And where does that leave you? You have to either take a chance on your own
or go with those that you trust and/or whatever is said the most.

So since its hard to get any sort of proof you kinda just have to accept
that it happened or not and move on.

I figure if we Team

What I suggest is we
group up and link via DunDi and share a part of PRI's I am willing to make 15
channels available to free calling over PRI's.

I suggest we set a
Minimum DunDi link requirement

  - G729 / G723
Codec
  - 4 Channels
Minimum
  - DSL/Cable
Internet

Right now we already
have 35 Channels of Free Calling linked in and I think if we worked together it
would offset our bottom line.

The problem is, you did not pay 'NuFone'. You paid someone that was
supposed to be working on behalf of NuFone, but not a penny of that cash
ever made it into NuFone, because you did not pay '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' as
directed in our Terms and Conditions.

I am sorry, but if you have a problem with the person you paid, then take it
up with that person. If you would have paid 'NuFone' then 'NuFone' would
have been able to use other available resources.

I would appreciate a public clarification on your claim of fraud, since you
are at fault for not paying NuFone directly, if you expected NuFone
assistance.

have been able to use other available resources.

I would appreciate a public clarification on your claim of fraud, since you
are at fault for not paying NuFone directly, if you expected NuFone
assistance.

If you did not pay [EMAIL PROTECTED] via PayPal thus you did not pay
NuFone Inc.

I purposely replied to you off-list to resolve this situation. The only
reason to post your reply to asterisk-users was to publicly defame my
company.

You sent us to Greg And We paid WHERE GREG TOLD US TO PAY.
So that's no Excuse

We have History of MSN Chat With Greg And Since he took the Money he has
not shown up on MSN again...

This Goes Great to show what type of Company you Run... Its Ether you Rip
Off People or you Hire People to Rip off People and use them as a Fall
Guy... OR you Too Stupid to Hire People who Rip Your Company off...

Ether way you Better check your Work Ethics... Then Treating with Lawyers to
everyone with "pending litigation against you for your defamatory and
libelous public comments"

GREAT WAY TO DO BUSINESS

I agree, but I could not stand for any more of this blatant disregard for
the truth.

Now it is time for the legal types to get involved so the truth can be
discovered and disclosed in a proper forum.

Both of you are a huge pain in the ass. Just go do something so you can make
money and pay your bills. The Jeremy NuFone roadshow is back in reruns
again. Damn.
