Normaly, an USB Stick Huawei K3765-HV would be enough... However, under
Linux I had problems with the stability and now use the same stick with
the Vodafone EasyBox 803A in which I stick the Huawei and then use a
multiport ISDN card in my Server to connect it.

How do you wan to detect, if the remote party put you on hold?

AFAIK there is nothing in the GSM Protocol/Specs

If you use more then one USB-Stick, you will have to use an USB TT-Hub
or seperated USB ports on your board.

[asterisk-users] Can not get my Eicon Diva running with Asterisk...

2012-07-18 Thread Michelle Konzack
Hi Guys,

asterisk drive me crazy!

Now I have tried to use FreePBX but it require MySQL which I can not
install du to a conflict with PostgreSQL.

Does someone know, how to configure FreePBX to use PostgreSQL?

Or does someone know another Asterisk Web-Frontend, without Database?

It is realy not funny, to force users to install this monster on an ARM
Microcontroller.

I need only enterprise internal stuff to

1) access my 4 Vodafone EasyBox 803A using
ISDN and the Eicon Diva 4port v2 Server Card
2) access a 1port HFC Card to connect some ISDN Telephones
3) access my account (20 Telephone numbers)
on <http://www.sipgate.de/>
4) let me use my CISCO CP-3905 SIP phones on the LAN
5) access the VoIP server of my ISP Alice/Hansenet

I have no customers which must accounted or such...

Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening

Yes, and it is entirely Distribution/Manufacturer independant.
I had to stop working in it, because I am hopeless overworked!

Since I know the MV78x00 I am dreaming of a Mini-ITX Poard based on this
Microcontroller. Could have up to 8 Mini-PCIe slots and a big "PCIe 4x"
for the "bigger" cards.

Re: [asterisk-users] Does the Eicon/Dialogic 4BRI-8M 800-665 support the NT modus?

Thanks. I now have bought it. Will give it a try.

Question: Must I set the whole card into NT mode
or can I do this per ISDN Port?

I have the datasheets of the Cologne Chips here and the 2port and 4port
chips can set individualy... So, I assume, it is a question of the ISDN
card implementer, whether it allow to set individual ports to TE/NT mode

I have the Development Kit here with some samples, but failed to build a
small arme based GSM/HSPA + ISDN/Analog router...

Currently I use the Vodafone Easybox 803A which support generaly what I
need, except that

1) it support only one USB GSM/HSPA Stick
2) I can not access the SMS storage
3) support only Analog and ISDN Telephone and Telephone-Systems

and the (most important part

4) I can not use VoIP telphones

So I would like to build a GSM Router which support the above stuff and
of course can run a Linux-Distribution of choice using Asterisk!

To start a new "Open Hardware Project" I search for contributors like an
Electronic Engineer and Software Developers (we need special drivers for
the stuff) and I prefer to use:

 1) TI OMAP 300-700 MHz ARM Microcontroller
 2) =3D> 128 MByte of SDRAM
 3) =3D> 512 MByte of NAND
 4) Cologne Chip XHFC-2S4U or XHFC-4U (could be a module)
 5) SiLabs Quad ProSLIC
 6) Cypress 4 Port Tetra Hub
 7) 8port or 12port N-Way Switch supporting PoE
 8) SDHC or SDXC Card interface

maybe with

 9) 4" TFT Display (480x272 pixel) for status
10) Integrated 5Ah LiPoly cell (10Ah option) for Backup since the
router should work some hours even if there is an electricity cut.

Maybe this sounds like a Dream-Box, but is entirely technicaly possibel!

And of course, I have already aquired most chips in the last 2 years...

Note: I am using CadSoft Eagle under Debian to desingn PCBs and a
mailinglist is already available even if unused...

If you are interested in Open Hardware Development feel free to contact
me, because it is time to change something.

Oh, forgotten one thing:

I was even thinking to use a Marvel Discovery MV78100 (800/1000/1200MHz)
because it support:

 1) SO-DIMM Modules
 2) huge NAND Flash
 3) SD-Card
 4) 2 PCIe 4x ports which can be each splited into 4 ports of 1x
 5) 2 SATA Drives
 6) 1 Giga Ethernet

Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening

The OpenSMS Server is located on the "Vodafone EasyBox 803 A" which is
connected trough the ISDN Cable to my ISDN Card and via the Ethernet to
my Switch

Now I do not know, how to get the SMS from the Huawei K3765-HV USB-Stick
which is on the EasyBox.

I have found infos on the Net, that asterisk can do it, but on the other
side I have gotten infos about http protocol...

And there is more then one implementation of the OpenSMS API (at least
three different types)

However, connecting the USB-Sticks over a TT-Hub (Tetra-Hub) does not
very well, because if ONE USB-Stick hangs, the whole machine has to
reboot. This is, why I have choosen the way using some cheap EasyBoxes,
and also allow me in case of trouble to connect an analog telephone.

[asterisk-users] Asterisk with OpenSMS API?

2012-06-03 Thread Michelle Konzack
Hello Experts,

since connecting of 4 Huawei K3765-HV Sticks to my Server does not work,
I now use the Vodafone EasyBox 803A (cost less then 30 Euro on eBay) and
connect them to my ISDN cards.

It has the advantage, that I can use in the same time the UMTS Internet
connectivity and local analog telephones.

However, if I use Windows, the program shiped with the EasyBox use the
OpenSMS API to get the SMS from the USB-Stick trough the EasyBox.

So, my questions are:

1) Does Asterisk (or an AddOn/PlugIn) support the OpenSMS API?

2) Does someone know, where I can get infos about the OpenSMS API?
I have found nothing on Google.

Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening

> This does not make sense; PCI 2.0 cards should fit just fine into

No, it does not fit, since PCI 2.0 is 5V and has only one notch.

PCI 2.1, 2.2. and 2.3 do have two notches, because they are 3.3V.

In clear, you can not insert old 5V PCI 2.0 cards into a 3.3V PCI-X slot

Unfortunately, even used 4 port cards cost at least 200 Euro on eBay.

And since I need USB 2.0 ports, which occupy a PCI-X slot, I need a
compatible 2port port or 4port ISDN-Card.

[asterisk-users] Huawei K3765-HV with Asterisk?

2012-05-25 Thread Michelle Konzack
Hi again,

does someone use the USB-Stick "Huawei K3765-HV" with Asterisk?

I have an 4-Port TT-Hub (Cypress Chip) and 4 USB-Sticks with 4 different
GSM Provider (Germany, France, Turkey, and Iran)

Currently I use the "Vodafone Easybox 803 A" together with an ISDN
connection to my Asterisk Server, an analog telephone (PA710) and an USR
Sportster Vi 14.400 Fax-Modem (HylaFax).

Grmpf, I was not abele to send faxes from my workstations direktly using
Asterisk

And then the last question:

Does someone know, how the OpenSMS API is working?

The EasyBox 803A does support it and I need to get the SMS from the USB-
Stick. It is enough, if thex could be fetched and send as mail to me.

Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening

[asterisk-users] Dual- or Quad ISDN cards for PCI-X Slots

2012-05-25 Thread Michelle Konzack
Hello ISDN Users.

I am hit by some frustrations because my Server has only two PCI-X slots
and my Eicon Diva 4BRI-8M, which should work fine with Asterisk, is only
PCI 2.0 standard and does not fit into the PCI-X slot.

Currently I use two AVM Fritz! cards, but while my Xeon 604 2000MHz had
a load-average of less then 0.5 it is now increasing to more then 4, if
I have 20 VoIP and two ISDN calls.

So, the cheap AVM cards have to replaced.

Since I do not have currenly the money to buy a Eicon Diva Server 3.0
quad-port, can you recommend me inexpensive Dual- or Quad-Port cards
which I could get used on eBay?

Note: I have to connect my Alice Box (ADSL2+) and two Vodafone
EasyBox 803A (using the Huawei K3765-HV USB-Stick) to it.

Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening

2012-01-31 Thread Michelle Konzack
Hello *,

I need 2 or 3 cards to connect an "Anlagenanschluß" (I do not know the
name in englisch, but is 2 or more lines with the same numbers) to my
intranet servers (IBM x335/x345 -> requires PCI-X or at least PCI 2.1).

Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening

Because I have alredy bought 8 differentSMS-Gateway with 4-8 ports, I
gaved up! I payed around 6000 Euro in total for the last crap on earth!

So, now I use an Marvel Discovery MV78100 with two attached USB (MTT)
7-Port Hubs where I can attach my Huawei K3765-HV (currently I use 3  =>
Bouygues Telecom/FR, O2/DE and Ortel/DE) which are supported by Asterisk
and FreeSWITCH

I suggest you to do the same, because if one USB-Stick is broken, you
can get it easyly on the Internet for less then 30 Euro under 3 days.

Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening/weekend

Normaly the USB stick provide the UMTS/HSPA channel, but it is blocked
by Asterisk and I do not know why. Maybe because asterisk try to reserve
it vor Video-Telephony?

I have this now installed in my Kernel and tried to configure asterisk,
but if it connects, I can not more use the UMTS IInternet connection.

However, I can not get a voice connection...

Is there a working config, which let me use

1) UMTS/HSPA Internet
2) Voice Calls
3) SMS

at the same time? Currently I use the "Vodafone EasyBox 803 A" and I
like to get rid of ths pig as fast as possibel!

There are some devices created by "udev" and it seems I have to tty and
a sound port or something like this...

Do you mean with the "tty" and the sound port?

I think not

I know with FreeSWITCH it is possibel, but FreeSWITCH is not in Debian
nor is it stabel enough.

(I have Asterisk and FreeSWITCH installed to do testing)

[asterisk-users] Huawei K3765 + Internet + SMS + Telephone

2011-03-31 Thread Michelle Konzack
Hello *,

I have an All-In-One intranet server and usualy a seperated
as default gateway, which connect me using HSPA to the internet

Now I have installed an Huawai K3765 on my , installed "pppd" +
usb-modeswitch and removed the default gateway to .

OK I can continue surfing trough the and is now using
the Huawai as gateway to fetch mails and send mails.

Also I have installed "sms-tools" which I use in combination with my
installed "courier-imap" server to send and receive SMS trough a Siemens
MC55... but this I like to drop now in favour of the Huawai Stick.

And at last I have installed "asterik" which allow me to do phone calls
using an IP-Phone connected to my switch of "kphone" on my workstation,

Now the problems with the Huawai USB-Stick:

Since HSPA is working and I get an internet connection, I am wondering,
how I can get the SMS and telephone part running, exspecialy the Huawai
USB-Stick is designed for parallel use of UMTS/HSPA and SMS/Voice

Can someone help me please?

Note: I am in Germany and use O2/Telefonica Prepaid SIM cards.

Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening
