Re: [asterisk-users] Grandstream GXP2140

2015-04-15 Thread dsidir

I'm working with GXP2130.
About 12 phone on gigabit with PC after phone.
With Vlans on CISCO switch is stable and not so difficult.
This configuration running without problems since July 2013.

Quoting jg webaccounts...@jgoettgens.de:

I have a customer looking to deploy about 20 Grandstream GXP2140
phones. Normally they would deploy Yealink brand phones but they
want a phone with gigabit pass through and the Yealinks with
gigabit are too expensive for their budget.

Does anyone on the list have experience with the GXP2140? Is it a
reliable phone? Does anyone have recommendations for other phones
with gigabit pass through?

I'd be generally careful with the second ethernet connection. One
should look at the chipset of the phone. I had pretty bad
experiences with somewhat older TI based phones, regardless of the
manufacturer. The problems became apparent in mixed environments,
where some connections were gigabit and others not. It can be a
nightmare, if you have to offer support.

The best bet is to buy one, and check the performance of the
connections. I use some GrandStream products myself and the product
quality is now much better compared to a couple of years ago.

[asterisk-users] Transparent Elastix 2.2 fax receiving problem

2012-03-11 Thread dsidir

Hi all,

First off all let me apologize for my English.

My company use an Avaya PBX with one E1 and about 250 extensions
(phones, faxes alarms, visa card readers etc).

My idea was to install a transparent asterisk between TELCO and PBX.

I use an OpenVox DE210E.
After install Elastix 2.2.0 and run dahdi_genconfig, i edit
/etc/asterisk/dahdi-channels.conf changing span 1 group from 0,11 to 0
and span 2 from 0,12 to 1.

Then from gui add all the active avaya extensions as custom extension
with dial DAHDI/i2/extension-number

The phones works fine but faxes open line; trying to synchronize (the
well known sound from faxes and modems). My home fax show the other
side number for about 90 sec and then display comm. error and hung up.

Any idea how to fix it ?

[asterisk-users] vall directly extensions from E1-PRI line

2011-11-30 Thread dsidir

Hi all,
As a new on asterisk i have some silly questions.

I'll try to connect an asterisk PBX between Telephone provider and an
AVAYA Definity PBX. I've already install elastix-2.2.0 i386 version on
a PC with a DE210 ISDN PRI card.

In previous status we can dial from external directly to 4digits
extensions (i.e. the call NX7721 ring the extension 7721). At the
moment on IP phones i can call only 3digits (i.e. the call NX7721
ring the extension 721 and never the extension 7721). Has anyone any
idea how can i fix it.

Thanks in advantage
