[Asterisk-Users] DIAX Soft phone v0.9.1 is available for downlaod...

To be short...
Version 0.9.1 is available.

What's new:

- solved some bugs reported by the users;
- no more crashes when exit from the system tray;
- no need to restart application after a registration change;
- single form for the registration data. You can choose not to register in
the registration window (able to use the phone even not registered with an
Asterisk server);
- DLL in the same directory as the application, no need for an installer
anymore. You can run it now from a removable drive (like a flash memory or a
floppy);
- double click to restore app from the icon tray;
- can use the keyboard to dial: 0-1 keys, ENTER=DIAL or # (depend on
status), SPACE=HANGUP/REDIAL, depend on status;
- force to stop the ring if answered and/or rejected.

Thanks a lot all of you who helped me to solve some bugs and to add
functionality.

Best regards,
Dan

Cool, that would pretty much do it. Now, in earlier mails and also this
morning, even though the post got caucht because it wasnt sent from my
usual mailbox :-> I inquired about future 'skinability' of the application:
I would love to be able to modify the look and feel a bit (those blue
buttons are not exactly my taste ;-) and I would like to be able to add
some logo or something perhaps.

Also, do you think its possible to block access to the user/server-config
part (maybe via a flag in the .ini file) ? It might confuse the less
computer-able users :-)

Thanks!

Hi Dan,

Just downloaded 0.9.1. Works fine on test set up internally.

I get my WAN IP dynamically and have used DynDNS.org for updating a URL for
the home network. Could the registration look for this rather than a fixed
IP address?

Regards, and keep up the good work for us non techies to use.

Dave

I'll put this on the wish list.
I think that the ringtones (even speach as ring) will come first

I even think to a way to protect the config file to an unauthorized external
editing. As you can see, the credentials are a little bit crypted (not
difficult to guess, but not for the normal user).
I can build a special release where you can edit credentials only through a
separate tool.

Dan

I think that this will not be possible with the actual LIBIAX library...

Hi Dan,

Nice goingsome testing feedback. Testing your new client with
voicemail - after entering password (4 digits), 1 for new messages, then no
further digits can be sent. So far everything else OK.

Paul

Someone else with this behaviour?
I cannot reproduce it here.

Actually, my wish would be to be able to create the package with correct
(custom) credentials from the webserver, so that separate tool should be
cross-platform (perl script ?). Being able to lock the ini file from editing
is nice, but not a requirement for me. If people want to tinker around with
it, that's fine with me. I only want to guard users who tinker around in the
interface :-)

As an interim option, someone with wine or codeweavers cxoffice knowledge may be able
to figure out what it will take to runn on linux.

I tried with cxoffice and get errors. I will try a little more with my VERY limited
knowledge to work something out...
