Re: [Asterisk-Users] How does Novergence do it ?
a simple google on norvergence & complaint brought these tidbits: From DSLreports: (note the "accountants" reply) http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,8369950~root=cellphones~mode=flat Some info on the company from the NJ bpu: http://www.bpu.state.nj.us/wwwroot/telco/TE03040292%2007-09-03.pdf From "bad business bureau" full description of their scam: http://badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff89155.htm Another description of the scam: http://www.mailarchive.ca/lists/comp.dcom.telecom/2004-01/0218.html Seems everyone has something to say about them, and its all bad... My opinion, stay away, VERY far away...theyre New Jersey Mob characters masquerading as a telco...one is a convicted bad actor for running a slamming business... From doing a little goggleing it sounds like Norvergence is a scam business model waiting to implode but what do I know. :) Lance ___ ___ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users

Ahh, just like my momma told me, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.. :-) -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Andre Normandin Sent: Monday, May 03, 2004 4:41 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] How does Novergence do it ? I wouldn't believe it until you see it in writing from Norvergence itself! If they indeed can do that for $500/month, pass them over to me, I'd be interested :-) -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Lance Arbuckle Sent: Monday, May 03, 2004 3:30 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Asterisk-Users] How does Novergence do it ? I had just about about sold a new asterisk phone system to a local company when they called back asking if I could match a proposal from Novergence.com. I haven't seen anything on paper but was told their proposal was to provide a new phone system that would replace the existing 8 line 12 extension system, provide an internet T-1, unlimited local and long distance, voice mail, and two cellular phones with unlimited nationwide minutes all for the same $500 per month the business is spending now. The internet T-1 would be at least $500 so I'm a bit confused as to how they go about doing this. Does anyone have any details about Novergence and their phone systems and service ???
