[Asterisk-Users] VoiceXML

2005-05-12 Thread Marco Supino
Hi,
Anyone has a working example of VoiceXML with asterisk ? i was looking
around voip-info and the internet, and couldnt find more then "proof of
concept" documents.

Also, does anyone knows how FWD does their VoiceXML (411) service ?
Thanks for any info
Marco.

Does asterisk have a fully working (or anything in active development)
voicexml parser? I have looked and if there is anything google isnt
being friendly to it. I was considering writing one if nothing existed,
however I dont want to reinvent the wheel.

[asterisk-users] VoiceXML + Nuance

2007-05-03 Thread Eric Rousse

Hello,

Is there anyone who has ever done a setup of VoiceXML combined with some
licenses from Nuance for the ASR/TTS engine within Asterisk ?
I'm currently working with VoiceGenie, for the VoiceXML + ASR/TTS
engine, but we are having a couple of issues which I guess are caused by
VoiceGenie.

If there's an alternative, it would be very interesting for us.

Thanks,

Phonologies (http://www.phonologies.com) says they have something in that
direction, but its commercial. I don't think any open solutions are
available, at least not in any state of maturity.

[Asterisk-Users] voicexml vendors

2005-12-04 Thread snacktime
Any suggestions/comments on companies that provide hosted voicexml
solutions that work with SIP? Seems like a new enough market that the
pricing is pretty high and the number of vendors that will work with
smaller volumes is low. So far Voxeo is at the top of my list.

Re: [asterisk-users] VoiceXML + Nuance

2007-05-04 Thread Eric Rousse

Well, basically, I'm looking for something that has the possiblity to
use the Nuance licenses, and that can do Text to Speech, as well as
Voice Recognition.
So far it doesn't seem possible to have a single product that does all
this within Asterisk...

I don't think there's anything built-in to support VoiceXML, but you _can_ do
something like this:

1. get a developer account on Voxeo
(http://community.voxeo.com/account/register.jsp) or some other VoiceXML provider
2. create your VXML app, and point to it appropriately on the developer account
pages

3. connect via SIP from Asterisk to your VoiceXML app.
4. Fini

Voxeo provides facilities to call in via Free world dialup, and your hosted
applications can be accessed via a FWD number. I've got a simple demo running on
 our pbx and it works.

Hi,
VoiceXML support would be great, but I know of any active work on it.
openVXI seems to have spri=ung to life again recently, after years of
languishing. Perhaps it would form a sound base to get VoiceXML up and
running in a reasonable time.

I have understood that an indian company called 'Phonologies' has made a
commecial, closed source solution to do this. I have had some people
research the needed steps but got no further due to lack of funding.

Those guys produce a open source CCXML package called Oktopous, which
you can find at sourceforge. I believe it is designed as a companion to
OpenVXI, so I assume their solutions are built on these two packages.
