Re: [asterisk-users] SIP/GSM-gateway recommendation?
Hello Stefan Gofferje, Am 2012-07-25 22:35:28, hacktest Du folgendes herunter: can anybody recommend a priceworthy SIP/GSM-gateway that's known to work flawlessly with asterisk? Normaly, an USB Stick Huawei K3765-HV would be enough... However, under Linux I had problems with the stability and now use the same stick with the Vodafone EasyBox 803A in which I stick the Huawei and then use a multiport ISDN card in my Server to connect it. Should especially support CLIP/CLIR in both directions and it would be perfect if it would send notifications e.g. if the incoming call is diverted or if the remote party puts me on hold. How do you wan to detect, if the remote party put you on hold? AFAIK there is nothing in the GSM Protocol/Specs I don't favor GSM-PCI-cards because I'm just building a new asterisk based an an Atom board in a small casing. If you use more then one USB-Stick, you will have to use an USB TT-Hub or seperated USB ports on your board. Cyber-Telecom's CT-V372 is same box as PorTech MV-372 but with more advanced firmware. It supports more functions, such as SMS sending. Re: [asterisk-users] SIP GSM
It simply makes no sense to me to go from GSM (digital) to FXO/FXS (analog) and back into the PBX (digital) again. That introduces more potential for all kinds of call quality trouble. SIP GSM direclty is just a better idea, if it costs a bit more. Michael On Wed, 20 Feb 2008 16:46:31 +0800, Sam Tam wrote: Well then what you need is 8x FXO card. Re: [asterisk-users] SIP GSM
Hello Kev There are 2 solutions for this actually there are more but I don't want to make things too complicate this time. 1. get a 8 ports fxo card for asterisk. There are ebay and many other on the asterisk-biz list that sell them or me of course then get a 8 ports gsm gateway and plug those in. Then they are setup just like a normal phone line Try to look at the voip wiki for x100p config 2. get a 8 ports fxo voip gateway and 8 ports gsm gateway then put those together. They end up working the same way.
