[asterisk-users] TE205P

2008-04-02 Thread Isaac McDonald
Hello,

I am working on a project and have a few questions. I want to connect
one port of the TE205p to the PSTN, and another port to the PRI port
of a PBX. Basically Asterisk will sit between the PSTN and the
existing PBX. Are there any gotcha's I need to be aware of? Will the
existing PBX be able to dial through asterisk as if it was a PSTN
connection?

This will work just fine.

Yes, as long as you configure Asterisk correctly.

Yes that makes more sense. Now to the problem, please post your
zapata.conf as well as your zaptel.conf. Also if you don't mind
downloading the config file from the Panasonic TD1232 and email to me
off list so I can take a look at it and make sure the settings are ok
on the panasonic side.

Thank you

RE: [asterisk-users] TE205P, E1, Panasonic PBX and hang-up issues

2007-05-28 Thread Steve Totaro
According to your CLI output, the channel is being torn down.

Is there a lag on the CLI between the inside channel and the outfacing
channel getting the hangup request?

Does this only happen on mobile phones? I know if I call my cell and
hangup, it will continue to ring a couple or even a few more times.

Thanks,

[Asterisk-Users] TE205P E1 PRI card and other problems

2005-12-20 Thread Antoine Megalla
I some have problems with TE205P E1 PRI card.
The Asterisk installation is as follows:

Zaptel-1.2 drivers with Asterisk CVS HEAD from
November First
1 TE205P E1 card with span 1 connected to the PSTN and
span 2 connected to
the digital E1 interface card of a Panasonic super
hybrid PBX.
1 Voicetronix VPB4 card connected to the analog
interface of the PBX (For
dialing internal PBX extensions and mobile phones)

Agents using SIP softphones use the TE205P to make
outgoing calls on span 1
connected to the PSTN.
Incoming calls on span 1 are bridged to span 2 and the
call is passed to the
PBX.

TE205P seems to drop the calls from the PSTN side.
This happens quite often
and is causing great losses for the business. The
calls being dropped are
either incoming or outgoing.

The reason I couldn't use Asterisk-1.2 with zaptel-1.2
drivers is that I am
using the mysql realtime extensions on the system and
Asterisk-1.2 seems to
have problems with mysql realtime so I had to fall
back on the CVS HEAD of
November which works greatly with mysql and also with
the TE110P card.

Here is my /etc/zaptel.conf  file:

span=1,1,0,ccs,hdb3,crc4
span=2,0,0,ccs,hdb3,crc4

bchan=1-15
dchan=16
bchan=17-31

bchan=32-46

And here is my /etc/asterisk/zapata.conf
;

signalling=pri_cpe
channel=1-15
channel=17-31

I did some tracing and discovered that the TE205P card
is sharing the IRQ
with the Ethernet card, can this be the problem. If so
how can I put each
card on a separate IRQ (No free IRQs on the system).

I also have horrible echo problems on the Voicetronix
card, I have tried
everything to solve the problem with no success. The
only thing that seems
to lessen the ECHO is to reduce the rx gain for both
hardware and software,
but I still get an audible echo on the line.

Thanks and best regards,

Antoine Megalla

It flashes red until the properly made cables are connected and then should turn to solid green. Again, I suspect your cableis the issue. Are all the drivers loaded? ztcfg? Asterisk running? One span set to pri_cpe and the other to pri_net?

I just did this on a te410p.

make a t1 crossover, cross pins one with four, and two with five. Setone span for pri_cpe and the other sidefor pri_net.boom, you are done and can start testing. the lights should turnsolid green and you shouldfirst see theD channels come up and then all theB channels, if this happens, you have done it correctly.

thanks,
Steve

I'm a new * user and had just intalled A TE205P line in my Linux machine (running linux kernel 2.6.10). I would like to test the T1 interface but I don't have an ISDN PRI interface available right now. Is there a way to make some sort of loopback test? How to configure it? Do I need the cables to have tx/rx exchanged?

2005-09-28 Thread Steve Totaro

I just did this on a te410p.

make a t1 crossover, cross pins one with four, and
two with five. Setone span for pri_cpe and the other sidefor
pri_net.boom, you are done and can start testing. the lights
should turnsolid green and you shouldfirst see theD
channels come up and then all theB channels, if this happens, you have
done it correctly.

thanks,
Steve

  loopback?

  I'm a new * user and had just intalled A TE205P line in my Linux machine
  (running linux kernel 2.6.10). I would like to test the T1 interface but I
  don't have an ISDN PRI interface available right now. Is there a way to make
  some sort of loopback test? How to configure it? Do I need the cables to have
  tx/rx exchanged?
  Any help would be appreciated.

RE: [Asterisk-Users] TE205P in loopback?

2005-09-28 Thread Colin Anderson
Make an RJ-45 to RJ-45 cable like this:

1 - 4
2 - 5
5 - 2
4 - 1

In /usr/src/zaptel run zttool if zaptel is set up correctly and the driver
is loaded, you should *not* see a red alarm.

I did the cable and configurationas recomended, but I may have another problem. After I run:
modprobe zaptel

I don't see the boards flashing green it's flashing red and in sync, as I implicitly understand from your message. Should it flash green and when correctly cabled and configured, keep green?
How can I debug this?

It flashes red until the properly made cables are

the needed module should be wct2xxp - maybe wct4xxp will do this as well

Then did a lspci and it is not sharing any IRQs

Now I am doing a zttest and it hangs on Opened pseudo zap interface,

[Asterisk-Users] TE205P installation problem - ZT_SPANCONFIG failed on span 1

2005-08-10 Thread Cavanna, Richard
I have installed a new TE205P in my asterisk server. When I reboot the
box the error ZT_SPANCONFIG failed on span 1: No such device or
address (6)

When I modprobe wct2xxp and run ztcfg -vvv loads everything
correctly. So it seems that it is not loading wct2xxp at boot.

I then added the following to /etc/rc.d/init.d/zaptel with no success

MODULES=torisa tor2 wct4xxp wct1xxp wcfxo wcfxs wcusb wcte11xp wct2xxp
RMODULES=wcusb wcfxs wcfxo wct1xxp wct4xxp tor2 torisa wcte11xp
wct2xxp

How do I get this to load the card correctly at boot?

Thanks for any help
