If you are in USA go ahead and try them but if you are outside of USA
stay away from Voxilla!

They don't know how to process Return/Repair shipments.
We bought one SPA3000 sent it back to them as it was defective, when
they return the unit back to us in Canada we ended up paying brokerage
and taxes fee again as they don't know how to process Return shipment.
Service is unprofessional.

We try to contact them several times but they don't respond out our
emails or calls.

Hi

We use the Grandstream range, the work very well with Asterisk
although the run at 10BASET so best to keep them on a separate
network. They have all the functionality and work very well, not
the best looking phone but you get what you pay for!

If you are for bulk deployment of the phones in large numbers, without
losing your skin along with your shirt, I would recommend buying ATCOM
Phones. You can get them at $55.00 a pop in Bulk and $65 to $70 in
retail. These phones have all the basic features.

Try the link below for an OEM version available in USA:
http://ipphone.eezeephone.com

You can find them on ebay on sale.

I know that there is a list of phones on the wiki, but most of them are
now out of date by months if not a year. Our whole office is using Cisco
7960s.
Nice phones. Works great with asterisk. However, $300 each.

If people could send the phone they use with asterisk, a quick pros/cons
and its price, it would be appreciated.

Basically, I am looking for a high quality $100 2-line SIP phone that
supports g729 and works well with asterisk.

Much appreciated,
Matthew

one of the places that carries sipura stuff will get them in and start
pushing them. It says they should be available to the public in Nov. I

Best bang for the buck out there are Polycom SoundPoint IP
phones. We use IP500s.
Pros:
Pricetag (Cheaper than Cisco ~$180/phone)
Quality (Built really well)
Features (3 lines, XML Directory, DND, MWI, etc etc)
Fairly straight-forward provisioning (Once you get the hang
of it) Very very very configurable
Cons:
Confusing XML configurations
No direct support from Polycom for Asterisk users
No XML minibrowser on the IP500

$175ish perhaps. Polycom IP500.

We think snom, Cisco and Polycom deliver quality, Haven't been happy with

RE: [Asterisk-Users] Cheap, Highquality IP Phones

2004-10-15 Thread Tim Jackson
Best bang for the buck out there are Polycom SoundPoint IP phones. We
use IP500s.

Pros:
Pricetag (Cheaper than Cisco ~$180/phone)
Quality (Built really well)
Features (3 lines, XML Directory, DND, MWI, etc etc)
Fairly straight-forward provisioning (Once you get the hang of it)
Very very very configurable

Cons:
Confusing XML configurations
No direct support from Polycom for Asterisk users
No XML minibrowser on the IP500

Subject: [Asterisk-Users] Cheap, Highquality IP Phones

I know that there is a list of phones on the wiki, but most of them are
now
out of date by months if not a year. Our whole office is using Cisco
7960s.
Nice phones. Works great with asterisk. However, $300 each.

If people could send the phone they use with asterisk, a quick pros/cons
and
its price, it would be appreciated.

Basically, I am looking for a high quality $100 2-line SIP phone that
supports g729 and works well with asterisk.

Much appreciated,
Matthew

Can't have both eh...Well, how about high quality for $100? Is that
considered cheap?

I agree. Most "business phones" are at least $400 anyways. You are
already saving at LEAST $10k by using asterisk, you can get 30 7960's
for that.
