The issue is for example, if in europe, behind an uncontrollable nat, are there good phones that can handle this without requiring the configuration of the external address? For example, both cisco and polycom, and even pingtel, require you to use an interface method to update the external address manually... Check rtp.conf. I don't recall if rtp.conf controls incoming or outgoing RTP packets. You have to portforward whatever ports the incoming RTP is.
