Re: [asterisk-users] Music on Hold issue with asterisk 1.4.2
Interesting, that works David. I got the example directly out of the published VoIP Hacks book and followed instructions step by step. Either way, thanks much. :-) - sf Dave Miller wrote: Steve Finkelstein wrote on 4/28/07 12:21 AM: my musiconhold.conf: [default] mode=quietmp3 directory=/var/lib/asterisk/mohmp3 and finally in my extensions.conf: asterisk-1.4.2 # grep 100 /etc/asterisk/extensions.conf exten = 100,1,MusicOnHold(30) exten = 100,2,Hangup When I dial 100 however, I receive the following: [Apr 28 00:17:33] WARNING[30975]: res_musiconhold.c:947 local_ast_moh_start: No class: 30 The parameter to MusicOnHold is the class of music to play. Re: [Asterisk-Users] music on hold issue
fwiw, the setting Transmit Silence: No on the X-Lite SIP soft-phone causes Asterisk's music-on-hold to stop after several seconds if the caller using X-Lite gets too quiet. I added an mp3 file to the /var/lib/asterisk/mohmp3/ directory and configured it on agents.conf When I user calls and is on the queue, he starts listening to the mp3 file perfectly. But then the music stops, and only continues while the user speaks on the microphone. That is, the music goes on as the user speaks and not continuously. Does anybody have any clue about this? I read something about configuring timing, using a zaptel or usb (i have an usb in my dev't environment), but I don't know if this is related to my problem and couldn't find details on how to do it Thank you Dov ___ Asterisk-Users mailing list Asterisk-Users@lists.digium.com http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users ___ Asterisk-Users mailing list Asterisk-Users@lists.digium.com http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users
Re: [Asterisk-Users] music on hold issue
Thank you Wiley. I guess I had the "q" version installed. I removed everything and tried with "r" and followed the wiki instructions. Simple Answer-MusicOnHold works fine, so I guess my problem is resolved. - Original Message - From: Wiley Siler To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion Sent: Friday, March 04, 2005 6:28 PM Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] music on hold issue Did you install the version of mpg123 that is 59r and not 59q or 59g?
