Speaking of rings... Is there any way to make the Polycoms have a default
ring volume after rebooting? Seems everytime I reboot mines they all go back
to a very low ring volume.

|In sip.cfg, add something like this:
|
|
|
|...to correspond to something like this...
|
|
|
|Please note that I just hacked this example out of my own cfg,
|modified it for you, and possibly introduced an error, because
|it is untested now! But it was lifted from working code, so
|it should get you on the right track, and I hope it helps.

|Hi,
|I'm using asterisk 1.2.1 on a debian sarge distro.
|I've followed notes in
|http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Polycom+auto-answer+config
|and
|http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/index.php?page=OptiPoint+600+SIP+
-+Distictive+ring+using+ALERT_INFO
|but I still cannot change ring style via asterisk using exten
|=> 666,1,SipAddHeader(ALERT_INFO="ring3")
|in extensions.conf .
|
|Is it possible to do it on polycom ip phones? If yes...how? Is
|there something missing??
