If it is of any use to you, my installation of Astlinux 0.6.2 on a
Soekris net5501 is at:

http://www.fitchfamily.org/Tod/AstlinuxNotes/Soekris5501Install

I wrote it as a linear progression of steps needed rather because I
found the information on the Astlinux site had me going back and forth
between pages when I was working my way through it. I had originally
intended to offer up this for use on the Astlinux site but had not yet
gotten around to it. I don't think there will be too many changes
between 0.6.2 and 0.6.3 as far as a clean install is concerned.

On the "network" tab in the web interface scroll to the bottom and click on
"Edit user variables". Now add the line...
PERSISTLOG=yes

to the config file.

[Astlinux-users] List Archives

2009-03-10 Thread Dan Ryson
All,

Following a system reboot, I just noticed that my messages file
(/var/log/messages) vanished - and started again from scratch. Is there
a configuration change that might correct this problem?

I'm running 0.6.3 on an i586.

~ Dan
