Hi, I'm having a tough time getting this to happen, so I'm hoping to get some help. I have rev 2545 from the svn 0.6 branch. I tried to build on a debian (etch) box, but it complains about the loop device. It looked from the list archives like centos was in common use to build, so I loaded up a box with centos 4.7. Still no joy. Both times I was just trying to build from the oldconfig. Both download and build everything OK (except net-snmp, which I got from another source - built fine). Both seem to generate the .run files, etc. However, in neither case does it make a usable disk.img - it just makes an empty one with dd, which doesn't seem to get a proper filesystem (won't boot). The geni586 image from sourceforge works in the machine, so I guess I'm wondering what the environment looks like that built it.
Can anyone give me a rundown of the build machine that you have used successfully? It would be very helpful to know what packages you have, etc. All help is greatly appreciated! The stock image is great, but I need some things that are not there (a real touch command, chan_unistim, chan_mobile).
