Oh yeah. awesome work Sam. I love this game so much! Keep it up. If you ever need voice work. I'd love to help out with that. I know here, it doesn't really use human voices accept for in the story, but, I'm available for voice work if ever you need it. I love being able to keep up-to-date with this game. Again, awesome work. Keep it going. It will turn in to something much more major than it already is, that's for sure!

well, from what i've witnessed and making a multiplayer game my self, if you do it just right it won't be amazingly offle either. If your players can deel with like a 200 to 300 ms ping, well then you could probly do it. It's not fun though. I remember when I released survive the wild, the 200 ms held till about 10 players, then broke to a vialent 3 seconds. But I find that with bgt, what causes the loss in fps's is most people decide not to be smart, and when they fire a machine gun, it sends a packet, which the server then has to return to the rest of the players. So saying, if you had a lightning fast machine gun that can fire once every 50 ms, what would have to happen, your game would send something, then the server would take that, and if the bullet were to hit someone, it would have to send a packet with something like a pain sound, as well as the firing sound. Do you notise how in rtr, sometimes if a player goes offline or there game goes messed up some
 times you just hear them shooting non stop when they really are not? I think in rtr, he sends like start shooting, stop shooting, or something a little more dynamic than a packet every 50 ms. Because that is what causes lag. Not to mention, the server has to have a loop, nested in a loop, nested in a loop, sometimes over and over again. In the server you have your main function whare stuff get's set up, then the looptakes over. Well, you need to have it look at players which you'd have to store in an array, and it'd have to see what goes on with them and health and stuff, so if there health was 0 they'd die, it has to check the main stuff like connecting players, it has to check items if you were to have those, etc all in different loops. And you have to therefor make sure the loops are being called correctly. Oh boy i'll never forget the time I had to decrease lag on my server, well, I sort of called a loop twice, and it caused a stack over flow. But the pr
 oblem was, server updating. My host has a thing that can chat me runtime errors and restart the server so I can fix the error and the server doesn't stay down. Well that kinda fails when you cause a stack overflow or some other odd error on startup. Yay for me being spammed like heck with skype chats. Peobly ran the host machine insain. lol. But that could cause some issues for you to is server updating, not really if people will beable to host there own servers, but, if you host one, it's an exe file. Unless you can forward ports, you'd need a host, and a way to update the server. And sometimes coming up with that, ain't fun. And also camlern was right about the locational and internet speeds, it could be both players or servers. So I think if the network object is used just right and the server is coded correctly, and you have a good way of hosting servers and not spamming your players with packets, then I say give it a try.

Ok so the test drive time has completed with major success! The drawback is chars restored to an earlier date or some getting removed, but now, the game is playable and ever sence I did it, no lag! yayayayayayayayayay! My average ping was around like 210 ms or so. Of course it depends on your internet connection but 12 players didn't hurt the server in the least! Also, i'll let you look at a change log for the next ver so you know what to expect. New in 0.60.0For sure fixxed the screen reader interrupt bug. Per popular request checking for updates is now possible!Now there's an ambience in the main part of the radiated city!Now m tells you not just items, but damaged trees and fires!Worked on the radiated city a bit more!Added a couple things to the readme. So there ya go, glad your liking the game guys.

Ethin, there is absolutely no way you would ever need 24 GB of ram for a Linux OS. I should know because I have a number of machines that run on a lot less. I have a system with only 1 GB that boots up fast enough with a full Gnome desktop so 24 GB is absolute overkill. Especially, if we are talking about a shell based console without a graphical user interface.

I'm glad to know you are working towards developing a blind accessible game console, but am unsure as to what kind of reception you'll receive as this is really uncharted territory.As to your first question most of the accessible games out there on the market were designed for Microsoft Windows. Many specifically for Windows XP and were written in languages such as Visual Basic 6 since the majority of developers are not professionals and are only hobbyist developers. As to your question about willingness to develop for your console that depends really on the developer in question. I myself might consider it as I'm a professional developer and have skills in a number of programming languages so am pretty flexible. I suspect though the majority of audio game developers might not since they are not professional developers and are use to newbie oriented languages like Visual Basic or Pure Basic. So some more specs o
 n what operating system, languages, and APIs are available would help clarify the situation for me and others.As far as tablets and phones goes that depends on the phone and operating system in question. At this point in time Apple's iOS devices are probably the most accessible. There are a number of games available for the iPhone and iPad and it is very accessible. Unfortunately, Android accessibility leaves a bit to be desired. It is possible to use Android tablets and phones, but they don't have all the accessibility bells and whistles as what Apple has to offer with their iDevices. However, to be short and to the point, yes there are some fairly accessible tablets and phones out there on the market.

To power the vm off, press ctrl+alt, alt+f4, and press the power off button. It won't damage the vm at all. The way I share files between windows 7 and windows 98 is by putting the files I want in an iso image.

Hey all,I come to inform you that Danny is finally taking the break he deserves. While he does, he has agreed to let me be admin, and as a result I feel the need to post this since some of you might have clouded judgements because I joke around and don't get along with pilot72 very well when I was a regular player. Assault_freak, I know that technically, Japanese Braille does correspond to both Hiragana and Katakana. However, I tend to classify them as a pair representing one single alphabet. I'm probably to blame for that little error, but it just makes sense in my head considering they use practically the same conventions. BTW, I tried adding you to Skype. Not sure if you've gotten my friend request.

O nose you've just been shot at oh crap I'm going to die in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, wait?This guide will give you tips for evading missiles and firing back, should you have any.First off, when you hear that alarm, drop everything, and go at or above lightspeed.Next, try and get a look at the object that's just fired at you. Examine its heading closely. Try and see if you can counter it.In other words, head the opposite direction relative to where its headed.Next, see if you can fire back with a warhead or two. If you don't have any warheads, just focus on evading.Wait a while. The missiles tend to chase targets for a good period of time, at least a good 5 minute chase.After that time, two things can happen. If you have managed to outrun it, you can simply relax, but don't head in the direction of the missile, it could still be trying to catch up. If you suddenly find yourself and your ship shaking violently, you can take it
  that you didn't manage to outrun the missile.Oh, and yeah. Missiles are, no joke. They do 1000 damage to whatever they hit. sometimes its a little misleading, did you check the files inside the folder? I don't think the meter on the system tray is really any use to us, I've always seen it at 0k, even when I first started syncing stuff.

Hey guys,So yeah I'm sure it seems like I'm resurrecting a dead and gone topic. But here's the scoop. No matter how low this topic gets, It ain't dead until s quad racing is, which is definitely not the truth. For those who keep up with my blog and forums, you know my time has been consumed with flamity flame, poem writing, death match, stw, podcasting, and no racing project development lol. I don't plan for that to last. In fact, I've decided to revamp the vehicles system, to make it possible for users to build vehicles of their own. Also, unlike in top speed, all opponents will use the same car as the player does, so there will be a complete fairness to the game.  Now is your time to help in development, however. I need as many race car sfx as you can give me. I'd prefer you put each car in a separate zip or folder within a
  packaged zip. In that, you'd include:1. a horn sound.2. Start up sound.3. shut off sound.4. of course, the loop that we can use to heighten and lower as the thing speeds up and slows down.Oh. yeah. I forgot to mention something. If you really do this for me, and I get a lot a lot of good sounds, three random submitters might just get a little key for a certain folder with the game's beta in it... .  Don't feel obligated, it's not your responsibility by any means. Hi everyone,yes, you read right! The popular game 1000 miles which you should know from the RS games client or quentinc's gameroom is now available for iphone!The game itself exists a few time. I tested it and it worked perfect with voiceover - exept in the game, no card was spoken, so no chance to play.But I contacted the developer Emma Whan and asked if there is a way to fix this. And yesterday there was an update to the game and it's now fully playable for us!You can choose singleplayer or multiplayer mode. But note that there's an in-app purchase necessary if you would like to use multi player. And also note if you have to tap a card three times to play. Wheether you do a double tap and then tap with another finger or you only tap three times. Ah, and I forgot, there's game center support, too.So, go and grab the game and have fun playing this game.If you have any questions, I'll try my best to help!

Hi, not sure if either Aprone or beta team know about this bug, and its not really a big deal at all. Its just startling and disconcerting.When you deliver the solar lights to the sz on m3 to finish off the Jenifer's letter quest, you get booted offline.First time it happend I'm like, "oh no!" "I lost my puzzle piece and fuel both?"As it works out, I gained the proper fuel and gave up the solar lights. So alls well there.Just letting y'all know about this one if you didn't already. Hi,Well I suppose I can't really call this an updater as it has now checking function as of yet. If there is great demand I will make one, but as I explain in the comments I don't really want to. Anyway, basically its a simplifyed wrapper to download and create a setup file. If a directory is not specifyed, the file is placed in c:\tmp\setup.exe. Functions are explained in the comments. Hello.  Sorry it took me so long to get back to you.  Actually I solved my problem, and as it turned out, I didn't need the winhlp file after all.  I was trying to figure out what keystroke I needed to use to move the sounds around, because Sound Puzzle is kind of like an audio slide puzzle, and all I needed to do to get it to work properly was to use CTRL along with the cursor keys.  But since I have Windows 7 on my laptop, the help file for the game was for Windows XP, and so after playing with the game a bit I figured it out on my own.  But thank you for getting back to me anyway.

Hey there guys, I am gonna try some testdrives on the server. The way I did things is causing people serios issues that we never had before. I will back up this version so if my testdrives fail, I can revert back. But anyway if some chars get deleted or sceme to jump back to a previous date, that is why. Just wanted to warn. That's the thing with being a beta, stuff like this is gonna happen. Most things will stay, but any chars created in the last 3 days or so could posibly  have to recreate there char. The admins will be flexible about handing things out that you lost, but if we think we see your trying to trick us, we won't. But if you can tell us honestly what you thought was in your old inventory we can try fixxing it.

I'm tinking about using rasbian as a first step. Yes, it'll be a basic Linux console, but it will be for the blind. I'll try to enhance boot speeds so it boots much, much faster, but that will be difficult. Getting about 24 GB of RAM, plus the skills to shrink the initrfs file to a small enough file so that it boots faster will be difficult.

Chords are actually important to me, which is why I don't use onscreen keyboards or simply digital midi sequencers from my computer to write songs. hahaha. but I'll definitely check out both of these. kaigoku, I'm curious... how do you find the japanese keyboards on IOS? I haven't used it all that often, but how do you find selecting Kanji and the like? Assuming you use voiceover.Also, a small correction... Japanese braille doesn't corespond technically only to one alphabet... where Japanese braille is concerned, there is only one writing system, since there's no way to braille Kanji and it's all based on hiragana, which technically means that both hiragana and katakana are included in Japanese braille without distinction. Be interesting to chat sometime!

Hi.I think I might have found a bug.I've reported it to the youtube-dl teem but just want to see if anyone else has either noticed this or can tell me how to fix it.I would like all my videos to, when downloaded, show the title and the extension.So I think this should work.youtube-dl -o %(title)s-%(ext)s (URL)Videos download fine but, instead of FunnyVideo.mp4 I get, FunnyVideo-mp4Am I doing something wrong? Nash is the new character, yes, and though he isn't technically new, that's already one diffference from SFIV... another character, but this time one that hasn't been around since the mid 90s. All the SF 4 characters that were added in the later games were either from SF 3, the alpha games, or from SF x Tekken, with Hakan and the character in ultra being the only fully new ones. But the point was that we can't say enough about the game yet since we barely know anything about it other than that stages have multiple areas, similar to DOA or Injustice, but the transitions won't be as long. And yep, I can send you my skype, mr.brunete or whoever else may want it.

If you want to play the synths or keyboards with your guitar and chords aren't important to you, you can buy Sonuus g2m (guitar to midi). Although you can play only one note at a time, you still can get leads or cool basslines with it. I got it for about 95 eur, which in dollars should be a bit more. I would also be more than happy to assist you with any questions you may have about speaking, writing, reading, etc in Japanese. the problem is that picking speed can't be improved just by playing random licks and solos... because you can't learn to play those unless you know the exact fingerings. I personally enjoy exercises, but thanks for letting me know about the songs... I will check them out for sure!

I have a suggestion asult freak improving your speed. You need to learn a song but it is not necessary metal or some songs that has a fast guitar licks. You can check out Paul Gilbert's solo and i r
 ecommend you to listen this songs, I cannot tell a lie or I still have that other girl. It is cool. You can also listen to Guthrie Govan's emotive balad. And in my case, i'm improving my speed in a way of playing what's inside my head. I just create guitar licks. My favorite technique is string skipping but i still have to practice because i'm having difficulty playing it. I am not a fun of exercises. I just play what's inside my head, learn some stuffs, or listen to a guitar demonstrations. Any of the big name companies that produce digital music equipment... line 6, roland, yamaha, etc. Keyboards and guitar boards have no sort of accessibility whichever way you spin it, as much as I hate that. Sony also hasn't followed it until the ps4, as their audio systems and accompanying apps aren't always accessible. Those are just a few examples... and I'm sure there are a few more. I didn't say that to contradict you, just that the ADA isn't the foolproof way of guaranteeing accessibility in every single product we come across.

Bladestorm: nightmare is one I haven't heard of, unless it's the game known as bladestorm: the hundred years war in the US. I haven't tried this game yet, and it's a very old game, but it may possibly be playable... as to the story being different from Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors, yeah, it's very different... but those two series are also completely different from each other in terms of story. Dynasty Warriors is about a certain time in Chinese history called the three kingdoms era, and Samurai Warriors takes place during the 14 and 1500s in the Sengoku or Warring states period.Seal, you've mentioned this before... but the last time we heard any news of this was four months ago, unless you're talking about a different game this time. People on this board are so criptic... hahaha.

Well, the problem with SFV is that it's way too early to tell... we've only seen two trailers, and there's already some new mechanics that weren't in four... there's what looks like a powerup stance, the audio has been reworked completely, and there is at least one new character. So we'll see what happens. But so far, I think it actually seems quite different... a lot of people are saying that the graphics and character models look similar, but the footage we saw was pre-alpha footage, like the cimmic con Street Fighter X Tekken trailer which basically used the same audio and fighting engine as SFIV, and the final game turned out to be completely different. But that's another story. lol for now, I can look forward to MK... think I'm going to pass on the mobile app though.

heres how i got stared with audiogames. ok, so back in 2010 i think it was, i got my first laptop that was actually mine i had a school one but i was not aloud to use it for anything but school work. so, on that computer all i could do was turn it on, then turn it off again, i guess that's a start? so i finally found out about jaws and gave it a try, however, the 40 minute mode annoyed me, so i wnt to look up more screen readers and found nvda. so, you might ask, what does this have to do with audiogames? well, along with that computer i got azabat games volume 1 and 2, i remember playing those quite a lot then, in 2012 i started to use the computer for skype and such, met some people on there and that's my start into audiogames

Hi,regarding inventories, I never really had a problem with many items in inventories. Ways to make it less cluttered would be to group same items into one, so that it says for example 20 arrows instead of arrow over and over. Another way could be to sort the inventory into categories like armor, weapons, expendables etc, so you can find what you want a bit quicker. But as long as there is a reasonable way to list items and cycle through them, many items shouldn't be a problem.I also would like games where there is more to do than just pressing a button from time to time, since that doesn't really feel like playing a game to me. I like to be able to think before I do anything in a game, but I also like a high amount of interaction.

I'm surprised I haven't commented on this topic before, this is gonna be a long post.Now, I'm a sort of musician but not really. I need to find time to practice.First thing's first, I did have a lot of fun doing drum lessons when I was younger and as a result I have myself a Yamaha Stage Custom acoustic drumkit. It has a bass, snare, high tom, mid tom, floorr tom, ryde symbol, crash and high hat.I got some addons as well eventually. A stick bag that clips around the floor tom, and a cow bell as well. When playing at home I use something called cool rods which are quieter than traditional sticks. However, whenever I had to use sticks, well, my drum teacher found me some rather awesome ones. It's been a while since I've touched them and I have unfortunately forgotten the name, but when you hold them, even though your hands start to sweat, you do not lose your grip, and they feel very light and easy to play with.I also own a Novation Impulse 49 midi keyboard, whicfh pulgs into a USB on the computer and instead of sending sounds to the keyboard, the device just sends out midi signals. I just haven't braught myelf to really having a go with it yet, yet I really would like to at some point, but that's the problem. When that point will be, I honestly do not know. I'm stuck with soundfonts rather than vsts as my other computer uses windows 8 and qws, and midi yoke no longer works on win8.One other thing I like to do is sing. When creating sound projects I use Goldwave v5, haven't treid v6 yet. The interesting thing is last time I made a cover, I recorded my vocals using my samsung galaxy s4's stereo microphone and then synced them to the music from an instrumental track, and the result has been pasted in a link below, although I think it clips a bit as I treid to make the vocals mono:https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/177 … 0cover.mp3

Hello,That's a shame. However, you have found your way to an audiogames forum, which basically means that some developers might be looking for sound designers at some point, as, well, we create games with audio as their main component. Now, we won't get anything like Skyrim or something like that anytime soon, the developers here are mostly one person, or at least, small teams, but people are still trying to make various types of game. Most Audiogames can be beaten within an hour. We've got quite a lot of games in the style of the classic Space Invaders in terms of gameplay, but lately things have, fortunately, started to change with the invention of online games like Swamp, a first person shooter/survival game, and Angelgift, a short yet cinematic single player, Christmas release. One game that quite a few people are asking about, is if someone could create an audiogame that plays similarly to Temple Run, as we don't ahve anything like that in our commun
 ity. We only recently (beginning of February) got a decent rhythm game in the form of Beatstar, which has the ability to create your own content and put it in the game not only to play, but to actually unlock as well. I'm not sure what the future of Audiogames will bring.
