Gah, Media Fire's being a pain! I can only download one file a day before I'm given a capcha that I can't solve because Flash hasn't worked in Firefox for months and you can't get audio puzzles any other way!Could someone at least tell me how long I have to wait before Media Fire will let me download another collection of sound fonts? I've waited more than four hours at the time of posting and I know it's not a full day because I downloaded one lot in the evening and the next lot the following morning.

Stephen King was probably the horror author that first properly "scared" me in my very early teens. I do think he's quite good at psychology as opposed to relying on blood and guts for his frights.I think the Mist is probably my favourite King story because of the lovecraftian feel it has. Also, the fact that the supermarket actually was the extent of the world to those trapped inside it comes across really well. The characters do lose their grip pretty quickly though and are rather single minded in the roles they're supposed to fulfill. Also, how come the main character and the woman he meats go off to the manager's office for some - ahem - "time alone together", yet the first thing he does when he leaves is try to get back to his wife. I'm not a fan of infidelity.I think Clive Barker is possibly one of my favourite modern horror writers. He's got the right mix of gore and psychology in his stories and I feel he explores 
 different thems to some of Stephen King's more traditional ones.I also like that modern horror doesn't even need to identify the monster nowadays. I met a fantastic book of modern lovecraftian horror stories and not one of them actually had a named monster or specific entity to blame. There was just weirdness and terror and no happy ending.

I have a virus on Chrome

Every time I open a new site, the chrome often redirects me to esurf.biz like a search engine. Many search results defined the esurf.biz as a malicious program. So I followed the page titled as manual guide to remove esurf.biz to disable the Chrome add-ons and reset hosts file as well as DNS, but I still get redirected? Did I do any wrong? Any help?

My girlfriend and I watched the second film on "back to the future day". I completely agree that Jennifer should either have just not been in it or should have actively participated. Also, how dumb is Marty Mcfly? Jennifer gets one brief scene hiding in a closet in her future home and she understands straight away. Marty remains clueless for like 3 whole films. Also, despite just how many times it gets him into trouble, why does he flatly refuse to deal with the fact that it is sometimes alright for somebody to call him chicken. These are the kind of things that made the films very quickly become pastiches of themselves. They're tremendous fun though, hence why they refuse to fade into insignificance like so many of the 1980s sci-fi films.Regarding the future arriving, I think we're getting kind of immune to that nowadays. I remember, in August 1997, waiting for the nuclear war that was supposed to happen in the Terminator timeline. I was most disappoint
 ed when I had to have a bath and go to bed after all. Too much sci-fi has been set in the last 20 years or so and has proven wildly inaccurate. I saw a really good documentary once that discussed this very fact, especially thinking about the ever-famous hover-car which the 1970s were so fond of. There seems to be a theory among academics that these things don't catch on for the simple fact that they're not practical or time-saving. Back to the Future II still has air-based traffic jams, according to Doc Brown, and even in Star Wars and any number of other flying vehicle sci-fi, they often crash. Crashes would be far more serious since gravity as well as collision speed would have a part to play. Can you imagine driver insurance premiums? Smart phones, something that are probably beyond the dreams of much sci-fi which should now be happening, caught on because they're so practical and convenient. They save time, help with communication and organisation, are easy to use
  and carry and don't require crazy special training or an extra element of death. That's why the Apple Watch replaces the hover skateboard as the 2015 must-have gadget.

This sounds awesome! It should be like godville where you can battle other players and should be multiplayer of corse but should be open worlded so you can walk around an area and instead of being room based you should be able to walk 1 step at a time with the aros or something, and no, no, no! turn based battles! They suck!

Man infinite mode is actually sort of fun. I'm on the third "boss" level and It's really hard to win. I first was given a bat that moved faster than the normal gremlins, but I lost all my lives fighting the thing. I reloaded and was instead given a dog, but I coulnd't beat that either because the area was too small so it would trap me against a wall and then give me a bite. 3 bites does me in and I can't kill it by the third time I traverse the field. Fun times.

I'm glad some people still ask this question rather than simply settling for stock sound effects and calling it sound design.  Honestly, I've had enough of the Hollywood Edge, the sound ideas libraries, the ripoffs Sony called their own, and so on.  Are there occasions where a stock sound library is warranted?  Absolutely!  Should it be your greatest resource?  No, no, a thousand times, NO!  If I'm going through a game where every sound I hear sounds like something I've already heard in at least 2 movies and 5 other games, video or audio, particularly if the game is paid for, you're not entirely gaining my respect as a sound designer, no matter how much you may think it's simply a matter of selecting the right sound effect for this or that situation.  If your content is at the very least, original enough that I can't tell where you got it from by editing it myself, congratulations!

mml is not and never was limited to 4 channels. Yo're thinking the console. I have an mml to midi converter that supports A to Z, like all other mml standards, and this one has dependencies like 1A, 2A, etc, all the way up to 9A. SO in theory, you could get up to 260 channels with mml2mid, but each channel can only play one note at a time, that's why the dependency method was introduced. THe nes, when all tracks are enabled, can produce up to 28 tracks with mml.

Hey guys I just wanted to give you a little update on the game and a new feature that was suggested by a forum user here. The new feature is confuse and will cause the monster or even player to attack or heal the wrong monster or players. For example if a monster is confused it could attack itself or other monsters. If a player is confused it could attack itself or even heal other monsters. This is going to be a lot of fun and add a ton of depth. CompletedAll 3 NPCs now attacking, skilling, spelling and healing themselves as well as the hero at random-Includes effects sounds hp bars adjusting.-Includes npc movement when attacking a monster behind them they will move that way.-Death can now come off of poisoning, reflects, confuse attacking themselves or another monster attacking them.Players confuse completed-Players now can be confused meaning instead of casting spells on their enemies they might hurt themselves

You might even want to make sure you have a weak attack spell handy just so your opponent cant use your strength against you. You will likely see a confuse percentage on the cultist class in their buffs and offensive spells. You also will see it in some of the rangers poison type spells and maybe even in the assassins blind type spell. There will be a few pets and items that will give a slight chance for it as well. Anyways I am pretty excited about all this hopefully I can have this all completed and polished up by early next week and get back to the building phase.

The only problem with MML is that it is limited to only 4 channels at maximum. Most songs these days require more than 4 channels, so MML is no longer practical. I was never able to get the hang of MML in the first place. From what I know, it is impossible to go beyond four channels. Midi, on the other hand, provides, from my knowledge, up to 64 channels, although I'm not sure of this. I bet it could provide much more. So, I definitely prefer Midi.

I highly doubt anyone will help you with this project; you'd get into some extreme serious legal trouble if you did so. If you wish to, purchase a license to do so and then someone will help you. It does not matter if you care about the law, either, because it's very easy to find out that you used eloquence in that fashion by killing our screen readers and running the game. In fact, I do still remember a blog post that NV access wrote stating that eloquence would no longer be on the primary NVDA add-on's web site because they almost got sued for allowing it as an add-on. They even tried asking for a license, a donation to be specific, but they got denied. So, I wouldn't go through the hassle of trying so. If you want to stay out of legal trouble, I'd stay away until you have a copy of eloquence that is licensed to you and only you before wrapping it. Oh, and if you do buy a license, ensure that they give you permission to wrap eloquence like that.

[[wow]]. A screen reader on the Xbox is something I've been thinking about for years. I mean, we know the deal. Sighted help for initial setup, manage our Xbox live account and buy games on Xbox.com, go through our game list and open each one until we've memorized it, etc. But as we all know, an Xbox does a lot more than just play games now, and I've wanted to be able to use these features for a long time. In addition, not having to have my computer next to me while playing games would be another plus. I'm starting to reconsider my purchase of an Xbox1. I still have my 360 as I saw no point in buying the next gen console if I couldn't use the new features, and the improved graphics rendering obviously makes no difference to me. One thing holds me back though, and that is the performance of narrator on windows. Yes, it has gotten better. It has gotten to the point where we can actually stumble through windows setup without sighted assistance. That's al
 l great. But from that point forward, it is still a very strange setup, and nothing like conventional readers like JAWS or NVDA. Those readers use the system carrot which is, and always will be, controlled by the arrows. Up is up, down is down, left is left and right is right. Narrator however, in an attempt to copy apple's voiceover, has a form of object navigation with the left and right arrows combined with a few modifiers, can't remember what they are. It, like voiceover, highlights everything it's reading with a black outline called the narrator cursor. This works well for Mac OSX, iOS, watch OS and TvOS, but it doesn't work with windows. Having used all of them, I know what I'm talking about. I did watch the above video, and it sounded like it worked OK. However, and someone can correct me if I'm wrong on this, something sounded unlabeled. I heard the cursor moving around, but narrator sounded like it was only saying 1 of 3, 2 of 3 etc. Then again
 , this was recorded on iOS and from a decent distance away. I'll keep looking for more updates on this. I'm hoping that at some point a decent demo is done with the audio from the Xbox patched in and the user describing what he/she is doing. Maybe Liam will do one, although he did say in his last demo of the Xbox that he is a "Soni fanboy", so maybe he won't buy the next gen console.

There are changes you can make using the effects in Audacity / Gold Wave / Etc, then there are effects that require math and programming and lots of processing time.A lot of sounds at Freesound.org include descriptions of how they were made, if that helps.

HiI have a some kind of silly question. Is it possible to create my very own sounds by controling every electrical signals one by one, like disassemble an object into lots of atoms, change their state or types, and finally reconstruct it as another object? Without any support of sound libraries. And if so, how to do it and where can I find the software, and what is the name of the software?The reason for this question is, many audiogame developers make their own sounds, like danny, samtupy1, and the one who made the crazymod. How developers create their own realistic and unnatural sounds?And I haven't ever used a sound editor, but even with a sound editor and sound libraries, I think we can't make a completely different sounds without controling every single electrical signals because sound libraries are limited. @BCS993: You could, but it would be rather difficult, as i have spent the last few weeks using snippets of spare time and sometimes even class time to build up what i have, and to just throw that all away would be very sad in deed. If there was a way to transfer my stats over to another server, I would gladly do it, but as far as I know that's not possible. It would probably present its own share of security risks anyway. I guess the best I can hope for is that some huge alliance moves into my currently uninhabited area and wipes my existence off the face of the game, at which point I would have no reason to stay on USA10. That's probably not going to happen though, as like I said before, I live on the edge of a sea of players which are either part of my alliance or part of some other alliance who we are friends with. I suppose you could say I live in the suburbs of our chunk of land. A beautiful part of the map where there is nothing but small, independent communities w

Hey everyone... So I'm hopefully getting an iTunes card today for 15 bucks and I'll have enough for one game but the rest will be for Apple Music... I'm trying to decide between the new Deathless game and Stealthfly. There are no reviews on Stealthfly except one 5 star review but that isn't enough to go off of. I used Windows Movie Maker, using the slide show style, and just pasted in images. If there are more than 5 seconds of images, it should be enough. I can never remember how long each picture stays visible, so I usually wind up making it longer than necessary.

Just a quick note: my Poison combo (Grab, HP, Whip of Love X 2, Upkick, HP X 20, Aeolus Edge, Call Me Mistress) was made in the 1.0 version of Remix. 1.1 seems to have fixed the broken juggle properties of her HP, so you can no longer do HP X 20, just HP X 2. It's still a nice combo though, and you might actually be able to convert from HP X 2 into another set of 2 Whip of Love rekkas, upkick, then high Aeolus Edge into either Love Storm of Thunder Whip. Will have to lab that a bit to see if it'll all juggle. Most of those juggles will require proper delay timing, though.I'm working on more character combos right now, but I need to learn their Remix incarnations a bit more. I can't, for example, reliably juggle with Deejay because of the properties of his HP or HK, and Cammy has a lot of juggle potential, but they require the expenditure of a lot of meter via EX-cancels. A quick combo, for example, is LP, LK, LP, MP, HK, light Cannon Spike, EX-cancel, Ne
 utral jump, HP, then either Jump forward, HP, air throw, or standing mp, hp, Cannon Spike, EX-cancel, jump forward, hp, air grab.Kai

I wanna wrap eloquence in bgt, is that possible?

I am taking this idea from valliant8086 trying to wrap espeak, which kinda um, bwoke. But at least the dll returned a result to bgt, meaning that works with bgt, but it was coded in c, so of course it would. now, I want to wrap eloquence. I could use a little help if it's possible, as I myself do not have complete knolledge of the signatures and things used to control the eci.dll file, and I don't know python enough to take it from the scripts in the nvda-addon. If anybody who happens to know python could collaberate with me on this, maybe we could get eloquence wrapped? I also have a regular _expression_ dll taken from ultrapower and the function that returns if it matches, so I can use my ultra antielocrash regexp to block crash words to the synth. Anybody up to help this dude? And hey, might as well wrap espeak or dectalk or whatever while we're at it, right? We could get our own synths in games, like having eloquence and things speak your scores! I don't know
  if it supports a form of speak_wait, though...

Yeah, there's some kind of glitch. I only need to record with loopback speakers because I have my listen to mic feature turned on like all the time anyways, unless I'm recording song liruks. I don't wanna have to change the volume to double like 10 times, which is what I have to do. If I go in there and with loopback set the volume to 0.0, my actual system freaks out and gets really really loud, not just goldwave. I'd use soundtap, but isn't it payed?

O one more spoiler question folks if you don't mind:In the phase where he summons ghosts, could anyone point me in the direction of what the trick is to prevent jumping into a ghost when trying to jump over the boss? I often find myself wanting to jump over him but there are one or two ghosts right behind him. This happens when he's nearly down from what I can tell, and I am running out of arrows, so I cannot meaningfully lose a life there if his health would then reset.

Shine plus seems to be a lot more stable with the volume control, adjusting media volume about every time you hit the volume buttons.

No, I don't find the game incomplete at all. I just have to give up because I'm playing on a virtual machine, where the rythm in the attacks are nearly impossible later on in the game. So it was fun until I had to give up. I might give the game a try again if I can play it on a normal computer or if I feel like installing Bootcamp or other alternatives. I have requested many times a feature where this timing could be calibrated, but I have never got any answers regarding to this.

Soundtap seems really nice for podcasts, because of the ability to record from external and internal input at the same time without messing around with VAC.But the GW issue is easy to fix if I'm understanding your problem correctly and you don't care about not being able to record both sources at the same time, which means you'll have to use another mic and overdub one track over another if you want to still do that.Just hit F11 within the program and control tab until you get to devices, then tab to the recording combo box and choose the correct device for loopback, it'll probably be called either the name of your sound card, primary sound driver, or your speakers/headphones.After selecting that, tab over twice to the volume edit box which is in DB and allows you to use up and down arrow as well as typing your value in, up to a max of 0.0 which is 100 percent of the volume of the device.If your still not satisfied with th
 e volume of the recording afterwards and want it to be louder or quieter than what the actual volume of the computer's output was at the time it was taken, simply select the entire track with control A, hit alt C to get to the effects menu, hit u for volume, and select change volume within that submenu.You can then simply use the presets listed there, or fine tune them by tabbing over and tweaking the DB level your self and using the preview button to make sure it sounds right before hitting okay.I hope that helps...

Hello,Sam, like I said to you already, this is a verry, verry awsem update! It can be a bit anoying when people log on and off and it sends you that information in the chat buffer. A lot of people also wished that there could be a way to disable the messages of someone loging on and off. they can be really anoying, especially because now we are again at more than 30 players.Other feachers are really cool, but making a touel is verry, verry hard. You need to pick lots and lots and lots of grass for 1 single touel. Or you can just open a fiew gifts and get around 50 of them. A bit unfer.I really like the new giving sistem, and easier cooking. Shotgun also looks nice, but don't have it at the moment. And touels Will ve verry useful if how dirty and how wet you are ever become more importent. This update sure took you loads of time.Keep up the nice work, Sam!
